When I discovered the Van Gogh Alive taking placing in Canberra, thought how awesome it would be to spend a weekend with my dear friends after forever long lockdowns. I do not come down to Canberra very often as Sydney has everything you could look for.
Especially finding good Korean restaurant is not very easy these days and I only saw the sign of Kimchi which I thought interesting, when I got closer, I saw the full name 항아리김치, how cute is this?? When I saw the name of the restaurant, I was able to picture that grey hair of master chef getting some of homemade chili paste out of big ceramic pot in their own backyard somewhere country side in Korea. Well, the owner of the restaurant seems to be quite young and I am quite mesmerised how she is able to maintain the restaurant so tidy and manage numerous customers with big smiles.
Once seated, fairly quick delivery of foods, lovely gourmet meats(wow.. so yummy) and happy faces shown at the table next to me. These show why they are super popular and people queued up to be served.
Location wise, quality of food wise and price wise, this restaurant hits the top of the list. I am so satisfied with this beautiful dinner unexpectedly that made me forget any of Korean restaurants instantly in Sydney.
Petite size of display of Korean musical instruments was bonus.
Very proud to see they are doing so well with dignity and pride and I suppose this is how Korean restaurant should be. I don't know when I return back to Canberra in the near future but I will come back to try other food for sure. Well done guys. See less
