Pretty disappointed with my experience here. Service was not great. The place was not busy, yet our ten minute wait time blew out to nearly fourty minutes, after which we were not actually told it was ready, despite waiting just outside, for another few minutes until we asked. Prices are reasonable and menu is solid but lacks a few classics like the "plain burger". There's some good value in the share packs. Food was pretty bad. Batter and frying was pretty on point, except the chips, which were soggy and needed more salt - skin on was a nice touch that I liked though. Calamari was rubber. Fish was alright. Dim Sims good. Burger pattie tasted like an overcooked cheap beef one, like you might get in a 20 pack at Cole's, bun seemed a little stale. All over its probably alright if you stick to a share pack, but avoid the burgers and menu extras to avoid disappointment. Watch the counter like a hawk lest you miss your order and end up with soggy fries. See less

I went here with my wife and daughter for an evening meal as it was highly recommended. Alas this was not the case, we had ordered drinks and after waiting for half an hour we asked about them and they had forgot about them. When we were served our meals the fish was not very appetising and the chips were not fresh cut but more like frozen chips heated up. The vegetable salad was not fresh and had probably been there all day. The staff were all young kids and there was no adults supervising them. On the whole it was very disappointing and a complete waste of money, needless to say I won’t be back and will not recommend them to anyone. See less

The burgers hear used to be the best in the area. The last 2 I bought have had cheap patties instead of the advertised lean beef patty and we’re pretty bad. I totally understand running out of the proper meat patty but please just inform your customers or don’t charge $15 for a sub par burger. Would gladly change this rating to five star if you brought the old burgers back! See less

Nice surroundings but after a number of visits over the last year or so it is getting harder to return. Even for variety. Too much effort on the presentation and packaging at the expense of the core business, you sell FRIED FOOD. Pot luck on the salmon, usually over or under To order a side salad, then be told we have run out when collecting the order, Just not good enough guys. The chips may be a little healthier compared so others, but again not the flavour one would expect from a kitchen claiming to be of a higher standard. Your competition by the way will survive. If you guys do not make some dramatic changes, you will not. See less

I am not usually one to leave reviews but I felt it necessary given our last visit here. We had already had 2 bad experiences here (bad customer service, missing food from our order)But the food itself has always been nice so my family decided to give it on last try. We came in on Saturday night 14th September at around 6.30pm and was greeted by a young girl who was very polite and talked us through the various pack options- good start. Asked if we could come back in about 30minutes as had a few things to do and was told it wasn't a problem. When we came back there was quite a long line at the till so my husband and I went directly to the counter. Gave our name and asked if it was ready to which the girl cooking snapped back "yes I am just bagging it up." as she pretty much threw the burger box into the bag. The bag was then shoved towards my husband with no eye contact or anything. When we got home we found food had been missed off (for the third time.) Rang back and spoke to the girl who originally had served us who in fairness was very polite and apologetic and offered a refund but II told her not to bother as we wouldn't be back. Reading other reviews we certainly aren't the only ones who have had this problem. The restaurant has so much potential but is let down by poor customer service- which we experienced the previous 2 times we'd been in also from the lady who I assume is the manager or owner- and not enough attention to detail in assuring all food ordered is in the bag. Given the countless bad reviews its astonishing that the owner isn't trying to improve things. It's like she's happy watching her business crumble. See less

Extremely bad customer service. No greetings when we stepped into the shop. We don’t feel welcomed at all. Staffs were rude to us. How could staffs show no respect to customers? How could staffs be using their phone while talking to customers? Very long waiting time as well. Price was reasonable but this would be my last time stepping into this shop. Bye. See less

A beautiful little establishment, clean and pristine. The customer service was excellent. A fish made you feel welcome and relaxed. I ordered the salmon with dates chips and salad. Great food! Fish was crispy and not overly battered while the chips were hot and fluffy. The calamari rings were very tasty - soft and juicy on the inside although the scallops were a little on the drier side. Very nice setting, comfy booths and friendly staff. See less

Best fish and chips. Happened to be in the area but would drive from McCrae to come eat here. Fresh salads, crunchy batter, crispy and fluffy chips, beat potato cakes! Hubby had the a'boss burger and he loved it. See less

Some of the healthiest tasting fish n chips I've had. The burger was amazing, definetly on the gourmet side of burgers. The chips looked oily and yuck, was a little disappointed when we got them home at a first glimpse but shouldn't have judged at face value. Nothing oily about them, light fluffy inside, crispy outside. Dim sims were high quality and larger than you get from most fish n chips shops. Definitely a step up from your standard fish n chips.
