Prices are on the higher side for below average food. Was served plain rice with just chicken curry which was microwaved plus a flavourless cup of tea and was charged $23. The curry was below average. Wouldn’t recommend this venue at all. See less

mate, this little takeaway shop is 10/10, even though it might not look like a 5 star place. The food here is far more better than any fancy indian/srilankan restaurant in all of Canberra. The owner of the store is a sweetheart as well. Food is authentic and very delicious :) See less

Yes the owner is strict..but the food is fresh..i would rather prefer a fresh food though it comes a but with strictness than a smile which delivers poison😉.Vadais and kothuparorta are my fav here. 11 months ago the above was mytake. now the quality has reduced drastically.Also mixing of old stock and new.Not sure why. A very small Srilankan eatery, not so comfortable to dine-in so take-away is the best option. Cooked and served by the same person, it might give a 'home- kitchen' feel. Food taste is good, a slight gamble sometimes just like how it would be at home. All the items on the menu won't be available all the time, so check before getting excited. A big disappointed is there is not even one authentic Srilankan desserts. Price is on the higher side for the quantity. Worth the try!! See less

Wow what can I say. The lady running the shop was fightling inside with a guest and she was kicking the bin as a result. She was fighting with a guest for ordering too much food. I just cant understand the logic. LOL I enjoyed the fight. Then she overcharged them too. I think she was too upset. The other guest was saying to the woman " If you cant handle dont take orders and waste customers time" I agree 🤣🤣 so ensure 1. Dont order too much. 2. Get ready to get yelled at. 3. She will throw a bin at you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 4. you might be overcharged. See less

bought a lamb buriyani and it was a rip off. $22.50 for a takeaway buriyani...i was expecting a large container and I was given a regular container..apart from the chillie hot, no flavors... not going back again!!! See less

We went in and weren't sure what to try! It smelled so good, and there was a selection of delicious looking goodies behind the glass case (spring rolls, meat rolls, some things I'd never even seen before!). The woman behind the counter suggested her masala dosa, and roti... so we went for both! It was AWESOME! She makes it fresh to order, but we were not waiting long at all. I couldn't decide which I liked more, and me and the missus devoured the lot in one sitting. Friendly service (not at all in line with some of the complaints I've seen here), and definitely somewhere we will be coming back to, again and again! Thank you for the terrific meal! See less

Good food but the woman running the shop has a very poor, attitude towards customers. She yells at the customer for ordering too many items, assumes that they don’t know the cuisine and asks them to order quickly. And then she also starts complaining as to why the shop is not busy. If you’re interested in eating here, just order takeaway food. It’s a curse to endure the tantrums of the lady running the shop. Especially, if you want to dine in peace. See less

A unique discovery indeed ,rare is one going to get a restaurant that makes your dish to order, so it fresh ,authentic Sri Lanka , I had the Lamb Byrani and enter the Vadai with hot coconut cutney. The Cook is a friendly and does a great job cooking. She does daily brown String hoppers to order. I hop to make several trip for sure and come for lunch from work as it's a short drive e from Fhyshwick to Phillips. See less

It's not like a commercial restaurant, the owner lady makes food and serves as well. The curries are made daily and are generally authentic. The other south indian dishes are like dosa and idli are excellent. The orders may get delayed depending on the load. See less

Was excited to eat South Indian food but after getting back home I had slight discomfort in the tummy .. Stomach pain started the next day early morning onwards.. Continuous vomiting and diarrea have made life worse.. The dr clearly stated that the food that I had previous night has caused stomach flu. I hope am ok soon.. Am pregnant and regret for experimenting food from this place. See less
