I’m only giving one star because I can’t give less than that. We came into this cafe on Easter Sunday morning, everyone seemed really friendly, except the owner. It seemed like his poor staff were walking on egg shells. I don’t blame them as all he was doing was yelling at them! Not only that, I ordered a ‘smashed avo’ for $20. You know what I got? One tiny bit of toast with avocado and a few tomatoes. Couldn’t believe my eyes when it came out! $20 for that meal was ridiculous. It was absolutely horrible too. I’m not sure what kind of bread it was, but it definitely didn’t taste like bread. I will give my thumbs up to the young boy working there. We just wanted to give him a hug as despite being yelled at every 5 seconds to do this and do that, he served us with a smile and was very polite. He was probably no more than 15. Good on you kid, if you see this, I hope you find a job that treats you better and serves you well. See less

Bought a latte. Took a couple of sips. Almost threw it away. Drove home, reconsidering, tasting, and then regretting it immediately. Didn’t finish it. Maybe I got unlucky, but a shop that only has one size of coffee for sale, it didn’t bode well from the start… See less

Good coffee (which is the most important thing) and a pretty efficient operation. They have very sensibly arranged with the restaurant next door to use their outside space for tables during the day. Cooperation leading to a win for both businesses and their customers. See less

Must have changed owners? Below average. No table service. Coffee was undrinkable. Food was expensive and poached eggs and spinach were microwaved. Not particularly good service. Needs a qualified chef some trained staff. Shame as it used to be good. See less

Staff were lovely but food was so overpriced and under sized. $27 for a piece of toast with avocado on it and 2 eggs. Coffee was un-drinkable, we were so disappointed. We ate the food and grabbed another coffee down the road See less

I only came in for a couple of take away coffees. The food looked amazing but pricing generally appeared high, so I was expecting a good if not great coffee. Take-away coffee. 1 size (12oz) double shot only for $5. Owner was on the machine, and sadly it's the first coffee in years I have thrown away without finishing. What a lovely cafe. We received a very pleasant greeting on entry. There were quite a few people inside here on a dull rainy day. No brave souls outside in the air either. It really is a cute bright little cafe with good indoor and outdoor seating. You can even get the odd glimpses of the marina and the bay. Full marks for the clever retro playlist they had on here too. A beauty. We enjoyed our coffees. They’re at the more expensive end but no matter as the quality was there. It’s full on Aussie but we had to have toast and vegemite too. They use very good sourdough here. It was delicious. And, critically, we were given a good amount of vegemite. The food on display in the fridge food looked really good. Huge sausage rolls. The meals and snacks on the menu looked most enticing as well. The cakes looked terrific too. We said as much to the lovely owner/manager as we left. His happy comment was a classic. It’s all home made he confirmed and “... if you want mass produced, go down the road”. Indeed. See less

Amazing - food made with love and passion – a little coffee shop selling amazing cakes and small lunches. We spoke to Alf the owner and we could tell from the spread we were given and the cost and presentation that the food – all home cooked here – is made with love and passion and not just as a job. There is enough of a choice to choose from for a lunch or afternoon tea. If we had been staying longer we would have been back - just gorgeous and don't know how to get him or this place on Trip Advisor! See less
