Great spot for breakfast - I really appreciate how the menu lists dietary requirements and options for swapping. Several vegan options. Really good cold brew coffee. Beer garden out back, tables out front for people watching on Lonsdale St. Friendly staff, and comfy booths. See less

Great place to catch up with friends for any meal, they serve breakfast brunch lunch fast food options coffee booze you name it, there are tv to watch sports, they open from early morning to late night, pretty much a cafe and a pub combination which is awesome, there is food to everyone satisfaction in the family and friends groups See less

We visited for brunch on a Saturday morning. The pub has an ice decor and polite staff but our food took 45 minutes to come, I think it was forgotten as the table behind us arrived after us but got their food before. It was very busy so they deserve the benefit of the doubt and after we chased it up our meals arrived soon after. When the food arrived it was pretty good and my daughter raved about the strawberry waffle. Coffee was also good. I would recommend this place to others and will be back. See less

Went here for breakfast and enjoyed it. Food was very tasty, and decently priced for what you get. Service is great and all the people working were very nice. Only let down was the coffee, which was mediocre, I have definitely had better coffee before. But it was okay considering this isn't a true coffee centric cafe so you can't really expect the coffee to be perfect. Overall a good experience, would recommend it as a tasty brunch spot! See less

Something for everyone here...A gastropub but really a jack of all trades when it comes to dining establishments. It has drinks, coffee, food. 3 separate spaces with a variety of seating options. There's quieter seats outside (perhaps for a quick arvo drink), then tables inside,( better suited to diners,) then another outdoor type area at the back with live music. ( Gets louder and wilder the farther you go). I can't really post an accurate review without coming back multiple times. See less

Great pub! A welcome addition to Braddon. Pros: my pros are pretty much all around the atmosphere, it has beer and food which is good (but limited for some, see below), but I love the big tables, booths and outdoor area. Cons: more vegan options. Theres a burger (that is spicy, be warned) and a salad... replace the salad with a more filling main option, or add more (non spicy) options to the menu and this place would be 5 stars, hands down. Had a birthday lunch for my mum Carmel here today .Customer service excellent. Food and drink superb. Even though there was a lot of people dining we only had to wait 15 minutes for our meals. Congratulations one and all at Assembly See less

Airy spacious feel with lots of seating options. Not crowded on a Tuesday night. The pork ribs were outstanding. Generous portion, very tender and lean, with the tangy glaze a nice change from sweet gooey offerings. Good value for money too. See less

We arrived in Canberra late and was starving and so glad we decided on pub food. The schnitzel and chips was probably one of the best I’d eaten! So good!! Service from restaurant and bar staff was super friendly and prompt, ambience was nice and warm, decor modern and priced really well. What a good experience! See less

Unfortunately assembly didn’t live up to the other reviews, perhaps it’s brunch vs dinner thing. The coffee was fluffy foam and bitter, and many of the fresh menu items weren’t available post the long weekend - no berries, trout, soul bowls as examples. The Avo Smash lacked seasoning and any real flavour. The location was great, a large back beer garden type area. Perhaps this venue is better suited to lunches or dinners. See less

Best steak in Canberra, seriously order the T Bone and prepare to be amazed. It's huge so share it with someone. Also had the beef tartare, zucchini flowers and chicken parmigiana. Chips are hot and crispy and they have a smoky fry sauce that is delicious. Nice ambience, plenty of seating and social distancing. See less
