I love roast pork when it's cooked well. Unfortunately, on this occasion you got it wrong. It tasted like it had been reheated, no pork crackle. When I asked if it comes with crackle, the waitress said no, you should have of ordered the pork knuckle. Not good. See less

Went to the club last Friday for after work drinks - the place was buzzing. Felt homely by being greeted upon entry to the club, friendly bar staff and a lot of excitement when a lucky guy won close to $8,000 in the joker(?) draw. Pork schniti was good but a bit chunky. Will be back. See less

Flashback to the 60's with the 70's thrown in for good measure. Dark and dingy I wouldn't both when you have to Mawson club a few metres down the road. Atmosphere is unpleasant dirty carpet that is older then I am. Needs a serious revamp. Mainly old people here. See less

The sign out the front says new manager, new hours, inside is warm and inviting. Best of all, they have a great young chef who is turning out some great quick meals, perfect with a beer for lunch and dinner. We tried the chicken schnitzel roll ($16 with chips and salad ) and the pulled pork roll ($16 also). Really nice and a great price. We were told later that the pulled pork starts life as the pork knuckle, which could explain why it’s so good. Whole place needs a bit of modernising but I understand that’s on the way too. Felt bad for the staff members as they were all very friendly. Half of the items on the menu were not even available, very limited options, the food was absolutely atrocious, bland, over priced for little quantity of food. Ever since new owners place has gone to ****. Last visited over 8 years ago where was sworn to never to return and now will happily wait another 8 years to see if improved. Dont waste your time, go for a zinger box lol See less

It was dissapointing. It has gone down in quality significantly compared to the original owners. Ran out of chicken on a Saturday night, had to wait about 45 minutes before food was ready. Chicken was about the same quality as any club, not seasoned well enough. The pan-fried potatoes were soggy and unseasoned. See less

I like the kinda awkward vibe here. I do wish the decoration in the restaurant was softer, like the checkered table cloths they had a year or so ago were fantastic! The new owners seem enthusiastic, and I wish them well. The food is good, though I reckon it could be amazing and be the-place-to-go for schnitzels, just needs a bit of a softer touch. See less
