A beautiful little place nicely tucked under from the main road. A simple menu with daily specials to keep you interested. Hands down one of the best coffee we had in a while. Kids had fun in the outdoor sitting area. Great place to go as a family, friends or even a date. See less

Great place for a break, coffee or a meal. Lots of decoration, quite warm, lots of space too. Although it was full of people, it wasn't noisy. The staff were friendly and prompt. Highly recommended! See less

Popular place. Got a seat in back yard on shared table and told a 30mins wait on kitchen, which we didn't mind. Coffee was good. Later relocated to smaller table to permit a group in. Big breakfast each hit the spot. Only remark is I found the hash brown a bit oily but Mr gobbled what I left. The cakes on display were very tempting! See less

This cafe is like the cafes I used to love in inner Melbourne 15-20 years ago that have all disappeared. The brekkie I had was exactly what I want out of a big breakfast and the coffee was good. The music in the background was well chosen and I liked the vintage furniture. The staff seemed very friendly. Don’t ever change. See less

Beautiful old building that housed a great little gem of a Cafe restaurant called Baby Black. We had the Big boy and Eggs from the menu. It was filling and totally delicious 😋. See pictures. I love this Cafe as it is a dog friendly Cafe, where your poochis allowed to sit with you from outdoor dining. The staff are friendly and very good, they explained e everything to us. Such as delays in meals and beverages. I had a soy Latte and normally there I'd a little bitterness from the soy in the coffee. But not baby black's, as it was perfect. Also if you just want a coffee, there is a little caravan set up next door for coffees only. That is pretty awesome. If you are ever in or pass through Bacchus Marsh then I do highly recommend you drop in and see how f good this place is for yourself. See less

Non local - came here with a friend and it was an interesting experience. The decor in the interior & outback look really nice (the classic retro look). The Ice Late is the size of a small glass...that was surprising considering the price. The Smashed Avo is a very honest - ordered some chorizo with it aswell. Happy to say the bread doesn't require a hack saw to cut through unlike other cafes! See less

Great staff willing to jump in and back each other up when the counter taking orders gets busy. The place has ample room. It surprised me how big the place is out the back. The tables outside are situated in little nooks so you're not competing with conversations from other tables. I got a take away coffee and sweet French toast made with brioche. Both were delicious. The French toast included strawberries, raspberries and a delicious lemon curd. My taste buds were in heaven. I've been coming to Bacchus Marsh for years and have never tried Baby Black Espresso Bar before today. I'm lamenting the number of times I could have had a yummy coffee but settled for mainstream outlets instead. I'd happily make the trip from inner an Melbourne suburb for a brunch here. Pastries and prepared panini and sandwiches looked delicious. However, I'm a creature of habit and will only ever eat the French toast. Finally, the place was not surprisingly very busy. I didn't have to wait an inordinate amount of time for my order. See less

The food and setting are great. Definite go-to spot for brunch. The only issue - and the reason for 3 stars - is the service. It's incredibly slow - once waited 30 minutes for a takeaway coffee. It surprises me that it is so slow because they always seem to have a lot of staff. It is a busy cafe, but even the busiest in the city don't make you wait that long. Leads me to think there could be processes in need of improving. Now going to another cafe down the road for the quick in/out coffee. See less

Best in Bacchus! - thanks for a ripper brekky @BabyBlack ☺️ 🍴Food: Food was great, well presented and tasty as! - only gripe was some of the dishes came out cold. 🍳I had the egg and bacon roll with tomato relish - great value and tasted great. 💰 Price was very reasonable. ☕️ Coffee was great 👌 🍽 Unique vibe - old house turned cafe. A bit squishy, but cool spot. 📝 Walk-in's only. No bookings. 🤵 Staff were very friendly and attentive. 🚻 Amenities inside. 👨🏼‍🦼 Disability access via side of house ------------- 🔄 Repeatability: Would definitely come back for another feed!
