Went to Backlane for lunch and really enjoy the foods, hospitality, great coffee and restaurant settings (funky and cool...love its) Should try chicken larb, Lamb skewers, spicy prawn... yummy churro for sweet. Definitely will be back soon. See less

This is definitely the most comfortable, relaxing and atmospheric place in Mooloolaba (in our opinion!) Beautiful food, warm and comfortable surroundings. The staff felt really present; like they truly wanted to be there with you! (Honestly, they could not do enough for you; consistently filling up water, asking if you need any drinks or food) It may be one street back from the Esplanade.. though what this place lacks in location, it makes up for tenfold in style and service!!! Rare to find a place with such a high standard of food and drinks, out of the city, at such a reasonable price.. Keep doing what you're doing guys! You're doing a phenomenal job!!! See less

I'm super fussy when it comes to holding events, so I put the task out to a few establishments on the Sunshine Coast for my sons 21st birthday. Shane at Backlane Bar went above and beyond to make the function run smoothly - from our initial enquiry right through to the night of the party. Food was plentiful and to die for, service was beyond exceptional, warm, friendly and professional. The space was elegant and modern. They allowed us to dance the night away to great music and even put on a happy hour of cocktails. Will hold all our functions here from now on. What a great place. Not the first I heard to say they wished they found this great bar and share food joint. Yum. Delicious. Satisfied. Happy diners. Highly recommend Blacklane Bar & Street Food. Be prepared to be delighted by the attentive service from Shane and his team. Great service and great food. For me the stand out was the lamb koftas. My wife called the chicken skewers. Hidden gem! Casual dining, they say bar and Street food but more like fusion style food. Shane and his team give 120% effort. We dropped by for last night of our holiday for dinner. Beautiful clean eating food. Cater for gluten free, vegan and dairy free. Great atmosphere, top service. Dine at bar area at front of restaurant or take a high table at back of restaurant. Perfect for couples, a special celebration, or business function. Will dine again. Parking in surrounding streets or carpark close by at Coles. See less

New owner taken over Backlane Bar in recent times. First time here. Had the salmon, chicken satay and prawn skewers. Finished off with mouth watering dessert. Service was great. Great tapas food and cocktails! We randomly walked past this place and so glad we stopped in. Lots of great GF options Cocktails were amazing, tapas was yummy and well presented, and cocktails were fancy, and yum! We will be coming back for sure! Staff were friendly and very attentive. See less

The staff were very friendly, the food is great, a nice variety of tapas, but the cocktails are amazing. The Tijuana Tommy is probably the best cocktail I've ever had - bear in mind it does have a bit of heat from the chilli infused tequila as well as the salt/chilli dip on the rim of the glass. The drink itself tastes unreal, and the lemon sorbet soothes the heat quite nicely. The Octopuses Garden is delicious too - smooth and slightly sweet, and very drinkable. The picture is of the Backlane Zombie which was also nice, but the other two were my clear favourites. See less

Great atmosphere and decor. Cocktails look amazing and mine was delicious. Food was tasty and well presented so congrats to the chefs. Will definitely recommend this place in the future. Oh and the front staffs were very friendly and helpful. Well done guys. See less
