Hi all, We had a mid week lunch catchup for SIX people. We settled on just garlic bread and mains that day off their lunch menu. The bread was actually a garlic pizza and delicious. Four of the troops had veal options with a couple adding the prawns and choosing various sauces. I actually had the sirloin (requested rare) and the last person had the risotto. My steak was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of veggies. My meal was seriously good. We ordered wine as well as a BYO. Summary... service great, ambience, prices were good and view of lake was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and will return. A great lunch enjoyed by all !!! See less

For all Italian food lovers one of the finest and authentic place to explore is "Bella Vista" based in Emu Bank, Belco. Right from their entree to mains till desserts you have platora of scrumptious food options..I can bet it wont leave you disappointed. I felt bit on expensive side..but trust me it was worthit🤩 it will make your special occasion more special.. plus large variety of vines to go with your food. In frame: Gamberi - Prawns delicacy for entrees, for mains we ordered Pollo al funghi and lamb meat served with beans and mash patato.. mama mia🥰 it was drooling 🤤 Thank You Team Bella Vista for amazing service ❤️ P.S - they are always booked specially on Friday and weekends so suggest a prior booking for a table👍🏻 See less

The restaurant itself is very dated and didnt match the prices of the food for what I expected. I got to try a range of dishes as I wasn't a fan of what I initially ordered. The Agnello dish was nice - lamb was cooked correctly and a decent portion size. The Pappardelle Bistecca came with so little meat that you shouldn't order this based on the steak. It was nice though even for the small serving. The Risotto con Pollo e Avocado wasn't to my taste and seemed very salty even with the cracked pepper all over it. As for the deserts - they taste frozen and then defrosted - so don't recommend. Also the coffees we ordered were burnt and tasted very bitter. Even after adding a full cup of sugar it didn't help. I’ve visited this restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed my visits. Great location, friendly staff and nice food with reasonable portion size. The seafood marinara risotto was delicious and seafood was fresh and nicely cooked. Chicken and mushroom pasta was also tasty. I’ll definitely visit again! See less

I am vegetarian and saw Bella vistas menu had vegetarian pastas available. When I was at the restaurant I asked them if their veggie pastas contained parmesan (as parmesan contains animal-rennet and is not vegetarian-friendly) and they said it contains it. It’s infuriating that they would advertise something as vegetarian when it contains animal fat. I am very unimpressed. I will not be coming here again. If you are vegetarian, vegan or have any dietary restrictions do not come to this place as the staff clearly don’t know how to accomodate peoples dietary needs. See less

Average to say the least, gnocchi Gorgonzola was bland as anything and basically everything we ordered was just so plain and flavourless. Customer service was poor, I watched a girl drop an order on the ground and say 'woops' then pick it up. I am still not sure if that was my order. Final note would be that the 'art' hanging on the wall was all crooked and sloppy. Over priced and underwhelmed See less

I always lover going to Bella Vista - a favourite for many years. Tonight's dinner was no exception. The fish of the day - Dory - was the best fish meal I have ever tasted! Succulent fish, beautifully cooked ,with a magnificently flavoursome accompaniment. My only complaint with Bella Vista is that as a vegetarian I always have to abandon my principles and eat fish. With climate change coming very fast we all need to lower our intake of meat and chicken, reduce the fish we eat to take the pressure off the planet. Seriously. I'd love to see what that great Bella Vista chef could do with plant based ingredients. How about it, chef?? I'll be back to check on what you come up with. See less

Not a great experience. Expensive for some very small serves (particularly the Misto Di Mare main of 1 prawn, 2 mussels, 2 tiny pieces of fish and 2 calamari rings, more like an entree). And who puts caramel sauce over their Tiramisu? See less

Our family celebrated a few birthdays at this restaurant recently and it was a most enjoyable evening. The deserts were divine - the tiramisu was possibly the best I have ever had - at least the best I can remember❣️Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The wagyu beef was good but not marbled like true wagyu. The John Dory ‘fish of the day’ was ‘melt in the mouth delicious! Looking forward to returning 4.5 ⭐️ from me!😊 See less

Love going to Bella Vista Restaurant - and not just because we got engaged there. The staff are lovely, the food is divine, and I always end up taking leftovers home due to ordering more than I can finish. Restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has lovely views of Lake Gininderra. See less

Had a 3-course meal. The quail entree was great. The lemon ricotta cake was ok. However, the Wagyu steak was a big disappointment. 1st attempt gave me a 101% cooked steak (I asked for medium rare). I told the waiter and asked for a replacement. The 2nd attempt took them a couple of minutes and I got a blue steak. Even the waiter was a bit shocked. 3rd attempt was just a quick re-cook of the steak from the 2nd time and it was really really salty. The sauce was terrible as well. The mash was a bit of a mess soaked in some extra salty sauce. Also, the presentation of the 3rd attempt was bad, almost street food like. I received no apology and the waitress (probably owner?) didn't even talk to us after the above incident although she talked to everybody else (asking how things are)! She even got the bill wrong (charged more) and claimed that she wouldn't know unless we told her we ordered the 3-course meals (she charged everything separately initially). The restaurant was very warm (air con not good enough) and we waited very long for our food even though the restaurant was half empty. We spent 2 hours sweating in a warm room waiting for food. Didn't enjoy the evening. Thumbs down. Very surprised about the 4 and 5 star rating. Perhaps I am more used to a bit more upmarket stuff!? See less

Very good food and service in a neutral, if slightly dated, atmosphere. Had the gnocchi with sage and burnt butter sauce and couldn't complain. It was delicious. Wife had a pasta con gamberi (prawn) which was also a solid dish, with a seafood flavour infused into the creamy sauce. Both dishes were generous in size. Service was prompt and helpful although waiter was difficult to get hold of when we needed our bill - no dramas though, we found someone else. Really my only nitpick about Bella Vista is that they could stand to lose all the Neon - that's a bit last century. Bookings recommended. It was full on a Wednesday night in late autumn. See less
