The watermelon cake was bland - so overrated and overpriced for what it is! Definitely looks better than it tastes. The one I got tasted old, wasn’t light and fluffy like fancy cake should be. It also tasted like it was kept open in the fridge - had a very strong fridge burn taste :-/ this is about as much as we had what a waste of money! See less

Their main product is water starberry melon cake. It's lightly sweet, has real slice of watermelon & strawberry flavoured jelly. This shop has minimalistic interiors, spacious in door seating & has good number of outdoor seating with heating facilities too. See less

Recommended strongly by my girlfriend as a "love at the first taste" experience so I brought my big camera and ordered one of them each on the Good Friday. Every single cake was made with love and passion. I'm not really a cake person but the watermelon cake just won me over and impressed me so much! The sweet level is absolutely at perfection and you just want to keep eating them. But I let my girlfriend have most part of it because this is how much I love her! See less

Ordered a large watermelon cake for a b birthday ($250). The staff were quick and friendly. The cake was delicious as expected and is a taller serving compared to others I've seen. Only drawback is it's quite expensive in my opinion. Everything else perfect however. See less

Stopped by this morning and was absolutely impressed with the level of service from the staffs. Very friendly all around and attentive. The prosciutto toast, croissant and cake was absolutely pleasant. Loved every bite. Coffee from St Ali, can't go wrong. Everything you see came to $38. Less than $20 per person. Would recommend. Great atmosphere and very cool/chill seatings. Great for a date or a friendly catch up. See less

I’ve been a fan of Black Star Pastry ever since I tried their watermelon cake. I’ve never had a cake so perfectly light, delicate, sweet and refreshing. I’m not usually a fan of rosewater but I love it in this cake! Also tried the Japanese Forest Cake which was super yummy (love Umeshu!), but their watermelon cake is still my favourite! See less
