Honestly my favourite restaurant in Canberra, keep coming back! We had Arian (?) as our host tonight. He was the absolute best - so so friendly, helpful and sincere and just so happy to do his job well. food is always amazing (affordable fine dining), great value and just really nice ambience. I come here if I want some really good food and feeling lowkey and want a relaxing dinner. I’ll always take or recommend friends to come here. Keep up the good work Braddon Merchant! 🤍🤍 See less

Booked the set menu for valentines day. I saw the 5 star reviews from new years eve diners when expectations are typically sky high. Excellent food and service from all of the staff, very consistent with other reviews. The outdoor seating was pleasant also. See less

Lovely evening I am open and modern restaurant adjacent to the reception of the new Midnight Hotel. The decor is modern with an emphasis on minimalist timber and concrete with a nice calm ambiance. Thankfully the background music was subtle and appropriate. The menu was excellent and we liked the two course/three course options. The food was all great, offered a good range of meat, fish and vegetarian options. The wine list was extensive and a bit pricey. The staff were very knowledgeable and suitably attentive - spacing between the courses a little long but not problematic. Certainly worth a visit and great for a group booking. See less

Date of visit: November 2020 We had an overall enjoyable experience here with pretty good food (we ordered the 3 course meal) in a relaxed setting. We wanted to like this place more but it fell short in a number of respects, relating to service. It took forever for them to take our orders and to deliver our cocktails - it was generally difficult to get anyone's attention. It was evident that they were too busy fiddling around with silly wine bottle gadgetry more than plain old good service. We would be happy to try Braddon Merchant again in the future, but they need to focus on getting some basics right. See less

Loved it, just delicious food, amazing food served by fantastic staff. We had the tasting menu with matching wines and it was superb, every course was a delight, every glass of wine was perfect and the dude serving was a delight of knowledge and entertainment. An unforgettable experience. See less

Stayed at the Midnight hotel and was gifted free breakfast for being a Platinum member. Pan seared haloumi with poached eggs dish was fantastic, as were the Belgian waffles. Will come back again to try their dinner servings. See less

First night in Braddon included a fantastic dinner here. Menu has good selection of vegetarian friendly dishes, and an excellent wine list. We had the casarecce pumpkin pasta and the Li Sun King mushroom with millet and spring onions. Both fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is light and modern, and the service led by manager Genessis Sierra is attentive and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back many times. Been back again. This time for breakfast. Excellent again. I recommend the haloumi, smashed peas and poached eggs. See less
