I like the open plan that still feels quite seperate from the rest of the centre. The food is prepared well and presented neatly for a smallish cafe. Staff are friendly and this family run business is endearing. See less

Food is good here, the veggitable special dish didn't look very full on the plate, maybe it was the layout. The hashbrown fountain dish was good I like the sauce drizzled on the eggs. The wedges here are always good. The time to get our food did take a while but i believe there was an issue in the kitchen resulting in late orders. The lady was apologetic towards the wait time. Customer service was friendly. See less

Very disappointed this morning. The young woman on the counter - making the coffees - that served me was unfriendly to the point of rudeness. . In a severe tone of voice I was informed that I would only be allowed a 20 minute time period to sit & relax & enjoy my coffee. No other café anywhere in the Playford area has this unreasonable restriction. . When I explained that I like to sit & relax until I am ready to leave - this young woman told me that 20 minutes was enough time & all I should need. . I cannot recommend this cafe at all - if this is the level of customer service then it would be wise to go elsewhere. . All the other cafés in the Center are much more friendly. See less

This is a true gem of a place, put this high on your list to visit. You will truly enjoy whatever you drink/eat here. It is clean airy and most importantly the staff are first class. Five stars is what I have given but it deserves more. Just fantastic you must visit now not later. See less

I would rate this place as minus stars if I could. This place is a horrid business to dine at and work for. There is 1 or 2 amazing staff members that truly care about hygiene and customers, but I truly cannot say the same for the owner. If you dine here, expect food thats either been in contact with mould, or been dropped on the floor. But you may be a lucky one that gets the great food from that one staff member that cares. I was fired from this place around a year ago now via text message due to the fact that I told another worker thay the owner was refusing to pay us public holiday penalty rates and wanted to pay "cash in hand" instead. I was fired for apparently "spreading rumours" when the owner realised that I know my workplace rights and entitlements. I also had to report the owner to the ATO because I had not been paid my superannuation. So you can be the judge, dine here if you please but beware of who you are supporting. See less

Absolutely appalling! For weeks now I had been bragging to my partner about Cafe Lingo and how great their coffee was but on that specific day everything, especially the customer service was disgusting! I'm ashamed that I even talked about the place in such a manner. We entered the cafe at 1:45 pm and ordered two simple salads (Caesar & Greek) at 1:50 pm nothing extreme. However for those two simple salads we had been kept waiting for over 45 minutes. Mind you this is no high end cafe, nothing extraordinary about the cafe so I do not believe that they can have excuses for taking that long. After the store had cleared and we were the only ones left, we finally asked them how long it will be until our salads arrive and they told us 10-15 minutes more minutes. Which was absolutely horrendous! When our salads finally arrived we asked the woman why it took so long and all she did was giggle and say 'sorry'. She clearly couldn't understand nor speak any English! I'm not saying that they shouldn't hire their grandmother, auntie or whatever but they should have standards when they hire people and staff should be able to understand and speak English. I work in retail and used to work in fast food so i really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I understand the pressure and stress that comes with working in such jobs but my patience and understanding is only limited. The coffee was alright (Usually great) the salads were definitely not worth the wait. Hopefully if you have such a strong urge to go to the Cafe, you have different staff. See less

Orded waffle with a side of hash browns and a mocha frappe got 4 toaster waffles that were slightly warmed up, hasbrowns that were so hard and thin they where hard to eat and the frappe was either off or something but it tasted horrible. I wouldn't eat here again. See less
