Super impressed with our first visit to Cajo. The interior suggests casual dining but the food and presentation were definitely more of a fine dining stardard, just with bigger portion sizes. The choices are what I would have expected to pay twice the price for elsewhere, this restaurant has certainly secured themselves a world class chef and managed to drop them into Palmerston somehow. Great table service and very little wait time made the experience even better. We will definitely be happy to make the drive from the city to eat here again. Thank you Cajo. See less

This is a rare gem, tucked away near the golf course at Durack, overlooking the water fountain. CJ is a fine chef and his food selections and preparation are superb. The staff are always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. See less

Great friendly service and very pleasant environment. the food was amazing. I had the prawns as a Appitser and the Beef cheeks as the main, both were fantastic. good drinks list too. the wife had the oysters which were huge and delicious and the lamb shanks for mains. again spot on. they young lad had the Duck which was also fantastic. I highly recommend to go for dinner there. Great place CaJos we will be back. See less

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Ate there last Thursday for dinner with some girlfriends and all of us walked away very impressed with everything, great service, pleasant location, and the food was awesome, best beef cheeks I have ever had! See less

Such a great find! Me and my partner ordered the bruschetta to start, and the duck and beef cheeks as main. All the food was amazing, not one bad thing to say. The duck especially, lovely crispy skin and the risotto it is paired with was so yummy. The staff there were very friendly and happy to help and made our visit 10/10! I had an absolutely amazing meal here with my partner last night. I ordered the ceviche and the duck and both were the best I have ever had! Very impressed. Friendly and attentive service without over doing it, it was quiet and midweek and we were the last ones there - they were not pushy at all. It's nice to have somewhere like this in Palmerston, it competes with any of the popular higher end restaurants in Darwin City. A hidden gem! I will 100% be back soon! See less

Delicious, so good I forgot to take a picture till after. We had the natural oysters with ginger and lime and for main we had the $38 special, Angus strip loin, with crumbed calamari, superb. Well worth checking this one out. Finally somewhere Delicious to eat in Palmerston. The menu is simple and done well, we will go back to check out more of the menu. 🙂👍 See less

I really enjoyed the Cheeky Eggs Benedict!! The Beef Cheeks were sooooo succulent and tender!! The Strawberry Milkshake was more on the Coconut side than Strawberry but I thought it was still really nice! I highly recommend it though!! Great first experience, awesome view and staff! We enjoyed an excellent meal there last night sitting outside on a perfect evening. The entree of Ceviche was perfect, and the generous mains of sirloin strip with calamari and the beef cheeks were perfectly cooked. Staff friendly and interested in how we were enjoying our meal. New must try restaurant with great view of park and fountain. Pleasant at night. Service is friendly and attentive. Food is delicious and filling. Starters Fallafel (18$) delicious, homus moutabal, grilled pieces of bread - yum. Then the salmon, no because which was disappointing, however the waiter made a cocktail sauce in 1minute, that's service, also good. It was filling but not memorable on the palate (28$). Finally the chocolate ganache tart (16$) not overly sweet (thank goodness) firm and tasty (probably better with ice cream rather than cream). Conveniently accessible by car, BYO, good for dates, or meeting. 👍 See less

Great little gem in Palmerston! We’ve tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and we’re absolutely impressed. This intimate venue offers a great outdoor candlelight atmosphere and a lovely indoor decor. The soft music accompanies a casual but professional service. The menu is not too extensive but pretty articulated and offers modern choices that stands up from the more traditional local venues. The ingredients are fresh and of great quality; the food came out promptly and was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. There is not alcohol licence for the moment but it is on the way; for the moment you can BYO. We had a wonderful meal and will most definitely be back! See less
