Ordered steak sandwich with chips. The steak was so small half the sandwich was just salad and it was cooked to leather. Driest steak sandwich I've ever had. They forgot the onion and cheese. Just terrible. See less

If I could give zero stars I would, I bought chips from here last week and they were cold, unseasoned and not crispy. I also bought calamari rings in the same order which were the worst calamari I had ever had, it was just mush under the batter and had no chew what so ever. Will not be going back See less

The guy who served me was either on drugs or had been awake for 2 days straight. He was almost incomprehensible and asked about 5 times what sort of salt I wanted then gave the wrong type anyway. There were bones in the fish and the batter was undercooked and mushy. He left out half of the family size chips they'd cooked for me so he could fit in the 2 pieces of fish. Go to Isabella take away instead they are way better. See less

The “Crumbed Fish Burger” is actually a “half a crumbed fish, burger” - which had they told us, I’d have just ordered the fish on its own. The order took forever with the excuse “it’s still cooking” even though the boxes they wrote our order on were also gone, which would indicate our order got given to someone else. No fish takes that long to cook, the store was empty when we finally got our meal. Not even an apology. For such second rate food it wasn’t worth the wait. Next time I’ll use the café next to them. Usually go here for take away. Good schnitzel burger and generally pretty Good. Occasionally don’t give you what you order and usually if you order more then 1 thing they stuff it up. Tonight I ordered 2 bits of fish along with other things, half was forgotten and only 1 bit of fish. See less

Poor service, poor quality food. I called a few weeks ago to let them know some fish I had purchased was inedible. The girl who answered the phone took my details and said the manager would call me back. He hasn't. Calwell takeaway will not get any further business from me. Very very poor customer service guys. The chips don't taste good. They don't like it when you tell them that the chips aren't crunchy. The huge guy that was there just went off at me for no reason. He said that I'm always complaining. Dude, I wasn't complaining at all. You should be happy that I told your staff to serve customers the right way. It's first come first serve. You had mentioned about seeing me in the camera, so what, have a look and listen what I was saying. If you tasted your chips, they tasted awful. They are like soalky as anything and you don't like it when I tell you. Come on, that's my own feedback, if you don't like it then train your staff properly or get them all on a cooking course before they work there. The first owner was way better than you dude. You need to take a course for at least 2yrs before you even start a take away business cos your attitude is nasty. See less
