Large industrial canteen type open dining areas with uncomfortable straight backed chairs. Overly commercial feel with a lack of warmth in the ambiance. It doesn’t feel like a cosy club but almost like an airport departure hall or university food hall! The food was just average including seafood from the Snapper's chain. Service wasn't the best but the overwhelming feeling was impersonal and that of a large commercial operation. The main club in Woden is heaps better. See less

The food here is consistently great with good portions and a good variety for club food. 7 days 2 hour happy "hour" is probably the best in Canberra. Please let me know if there is a better one. See less

Had a lovely lunch, had the option of a petite 140g or normal size piece of salmon, holindaise sauce, crisp salad & beer battered chips. The petite size is plenty unless you are a big eater. See less

I've never had an experience where a waiter cleaning the table would just stand back and exclaim "Plates please" and expect guests to clear the table for them. See less

My father, Peter, recently passed and we arranged a Wake on Thursday 24th February 2022 for 150 people at Southern Cross Club Jamison. The staff were really helpful, patient, caring, professional and sorted us for what was a terrific send off for Dad. We had a very tasty selection of finger food throughout the afternoon, a dedicated space in the main bar with outside access / children's area, a microphone / lecturn, partitioned space and importantly room to talk and move for attendees. It's a really good set-up here. Calls outs to Catrin, Mel, Josh, Bree all super helpful and with a really authentic service focus. 5 Stars from my family. Thank you - Gerard Donnan. See less

Unfortunately it seems to be short of staff, as against previous visits. Probably due to covid19. Staff seemed to need more experience and training. Food was good. They probably did their best under difficult circumstances. See less

I personally feel Stephanie is a racist. We were playing snooker and having soft drinks so we put the mask down but she came and start shouting on us very rudely to wear mask. At the same time other people also not wearing mask and simply sitting on the table watching TV but she didn’t said any single word to them. When i asked her about this she said she can’t see them wow. See less

Jamison club. Not impressed with last time we dined there. To book a table I had to give my credit card details and if we didn't turn up I was going to be charged $5 ahead. The funny thing was she said that only one had to turn up and I would not be charged. How do you figure that out. The meal was not that impressive, will not rush back. The Family like to go out for Christmas day, for Lunch, so the Canberra Southern Cross Club had some tables empty at the Club. Our first time in Jamison's Canberra Southern Cross Club. The Christmas lunch was great; the Staff service is fantastic, we all had great time that day. Today we came for lunch at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, we were taken to our table. The Staff are friendly and the service is fantastic again when we were here last time. The lunch was excellent and we will come back again. The Club is Friendly with Families who have Children with them, and can order Children menu for them. There is a Playground outside and inside a game room too. Parking outside the entrance and also Disability Parking in the front entrance. See less

A nice dining place with kid-friendly and accessible features. Kid menu has a lot to offer. There is a good playground. The staff are generally warm and attentive. Chicken parmigiana is a must-try. See less
