Club looks amazing after renovations, my family and i were excited to attend and enjoy a meal. We ordered 2 herb and garlic breads, 2 kids meals (free with adult meals), a surf and turf and a club special lamb kofta burger. Totalling $104 and due to my new club card not activating in time to purchase meals i needed to pay non-member price. Surf and turf ordered medium rare was cooked medium to well, prawns were chargrilled on top with no sauce to accommodate them making the meal extremely dry. Sauce accommodating the meal was to small for the sides and the steak pushing for you to order extras on top of the purchase. Lamb kofta burger, kofta tasted burnt and lack of dressing made it also dry although the flavours were delightful. Kids meals were reasonable sizing but slightly lacking in flavour but impressed with the range of options. Henrys kids room had soft climbing areas and kids gaming machines at an average price of $2, although just under 50% of games were out of order. Similar style as kingpin as mixed dining areas, pool tables and games. Over all it seemed an expensive trip to be made for a family at the night totalling at $136 for only 2x H&G breads, 2x mains, $22 in drinks and $10 games. Paying for kids meals would push it closer too $158 and for the value of food quality over other similar priced resturants i sadly wouldnt recommend as you can spend the same at kingpin and get $30+ in free play credit for a higher range of game machines. I love the concept but feel pricing is a bit steep for club style venue especially food quality and options. Must say with my visit i was sadly disappointed by meals but on a positive note the club looked so much better after the renovations and has a lot of potential. See less

On Good Friday I went to the Snapper with friends and we all got sick after having fish and chips, I needed doctor's intervention and will have to do more serious tests. The food had funny taste. Avoid the place. See less

Venue itself is fine but after ordering some $200 worth of food including some basic serves of garlic bread and a few meals, I was pretty disappointed with what we ended up with. It took an exceptionally long time for the food to arrive, which is generally fine if your appetisers turn up, but in our case our garlic bread literally came out after the meals were delivered, and only after I complained. And the 230 gram steak I ordered as part of a surf and turf meal looked like a kids sized supermarket quality cut with three cold prawns and a dismal serving of veges which were cold. My poor daughter ended up with nuggets and chips with no sauce, and no waitperson in sight to rectify that. Can’t say it was all bad, but if wasn’t for good company joining I would have complained a lot more, and I likely won’t go back to eat there again, unless there’s a compelling reason. See less

Food wasn't great we had a booking of 15 and food came out sporadically. One chicken hollandaise meal came under cooked and had to be sent back the next same meal came so over cooked it was funny. See less

Spent 45 minutes in the carpark looking for one of the 137 free spaces that did not exist. For 137.... read Zero. Then when we finally park, get inside and order from the Patio Menu, our food takes an hour to arrive. My kid got his after 40 minutes, and was finished his food before ours arrived. What a sad state of affairs for what was once such a fantastic Bistro. Will not be renewing our membership. Hello Hellenic Club!! Update... at the 1hr 20min mark and with tables full of people complaining they had no food, we got up and left with no dinner. Disgraceful. See less

Food was good, last steak I got was a bit shoe-like, but I did ask for no blood in the steak, definitely no blood!! Don't request this when ordering steak And I'm sure it would be fine. Staff could learn to smile, but it is a pandemic, so, fair enough. Chips are always brilliant here, must be double cooked. Pizza and beetroot salad this time, minimal cheese, good for me, being lactose intolerant. Salad was small but gorgeous, pumpkin was Kent, butternut would be better, but beets were gorgeous. See less

I don’t usually make reviews, but this time I had to because it was honestly the worst experience. My friend first asked for a buzzer or ticket but this could not be done, we had to sit at a table and wait. We next asked to change the sauce for the schnitzel from gravy but this was going to cost an extra $3?? I tried to get the staff to ask the kitchen but the staff refused. Simply ridiculous. The first 2 schnitzels came out, without the third. I waited another 7 minutes and still nothing so I asked where it was with the staff telling me “we are busy”. The hollandaise was tasteless, and the schnitzel were full with air. A terrible experience from start to finish. See less

So the pumpkin ravioli with burnt butter & sage was a huge disappointment. Firstly, the burnt butter was olive oil, secondly the 'pumpkin ravioli' insides tasted like an overcooked egg yolk. Finally, if there was sage on there, it wasn't toasted sage leaves, but sage flakes... Very disappointed. I realise now the only good thing the Southern Cross is for is the cheap happy hour. See less

We may be bias but we absolutely love the CSCC. We had our wedding reception here in 2007 and always love visiting the place whether it’s for dance competitions or to catch up with family/friends Food is always delicious and we just love the atmosphere. See less
