I was fanging for a coffee and something for breakfast. I see this scruffy little takeaway joint. I go in. Staff are quiet and cordial. They quietly and quickly put together a bacon egg roll and flat white coffee. Reasonable price if it's good. It's good. Surprisingly good. Lots of bacon, roll lightly toasted on the grill. The coffee was actually nice, which is not usually the case for scruffy little takeaways. These unassuming hard working folks deserve your custom. See less

A small take-away place that serves awesome kebabs, grilled chicken, burgers, wraps, sandwiches and many other snacks. It's a hidden gem. Service is fast usually and the host is super friendly. You can get just the kebab chicken, instead of the whole wrap which I usually do and my favorite. Price is reasonable, no complaints there. See less

Lovely little out-of-the-way takeaway place with small-town vibes. Some of the nicest chips I've had in Canberra. Fairly extensive menu with all the things you'd expect. Being able to watch the chicken on rotisserie over the charcoals is a nice touch, and the staff were friendly. See less

I Grew up In the 70’s and 80s when the Greeks made the best fishn chips in the world . Made with love and pride golden crunchy on the outside and soft and fresh on the inside. This man at Charcoal Rooster makes the same old school Greek style battered fish and patatoe scollops and chips . No one comes close to this guy in Canberra. Trust me this guy is the best you will not be disappointed with his fishn chips See less

Absolutely amazing bacon and egg rolls! Probably one of the best and that’s a big call. Chips and potatoes cakes are super fantastic and the gravy I could drink as it has sooooo much flavour. Customer service is lovely as well. Will definitely try the hamburger with the lot next :) See less

Only ate baked beans from a can at home and a quarter chicken w/ skewers and salad from Charcoal Rooster and got food poisoning that night (8 hours later). Would not recommend, quarter chicken was luke warm. See less

Charcoal Roosters is a classic suburb chicken shop, and one of the best. You can't beat their chicken kebabs for flavour and value, and they definitely don't skimp on the chips either. Go here for delicious comfort food at perfect prices. See less
