Do yourself a favour & get a one dollar coffee from Seven Eleven rather than the luke-warm dishwater that masqueraded as a latte, when I visited. And drink your reliable, low-expectation servo coffee on a park bench amongst filthy pigeons rather than the darkly-stained upholstery of the furniture here, that will remind you of drunk “friends of friends” who slept on your share-house couch & vomited on it in the middle of the night. I’m perplexed by the rave reviews which had enticed me to brunch here. The coffee was so intensely bitter it was unpalatable and the food average if not somewhat confused… Brunch for two on a very quiet day and both orders were wrong. Eggs Benedict and a potato Rosti stack with bacon, add a thick shake and a coffee for a staggering $61+ bill. Easy to say I’ll be sticking with some of the better options Braddon has to offer. Generally easy to get a table. Baby and Child friendly. Used to have nice thick bread/toast now they use sourdough (nothing like smashing your toast to eat a piece) Most meals are tasty and reasonably priced and come out pretty quickly. Thick shakes are great. See less

Ordered scrambled eggs with toast and fresh orange juice. Food used to be really good here but standards have gone down recently. The toast was half done and the eggs were ok-ish. Nothing great. The seats and tables are all pretty filthy. Would not recommend. See less

After being a regular customer to Chatterbox over the last few years I have to say today was my last visit. Appears to be new owners (could be wrong?), table service removed so now you queue up with everyone in one place and a significant drop in food quality. Smashed acocado (usually a avocado/feta mix) now just sliced avocado (maybe rename it as sliced avocado?). All of our tables avocados were brown and partially rotten. Poached eggs not runny at all. For the first time today our entire table didn't finish our meals. This review is lucky I can't post photos. Take care Chatterbox, time to find a new place i think which is a real shame See less

Value for money and very tasty food. A stylish cafe that weekdays serves the offices above and around it but on weekends it perfect early start for families. Friendly and quick service, took a star for the coffee , while good not consisten across our order. See less

The Chatterbox Espresso Bar never fails to impress with excellent coffee and food. This morning I enjoyed a rich long black with the pumpkin omelette which was filled with delicious onion jam. My only complaint is the poor knife selection. Given the toast is always 'hard', a serrated steak knife would be best, especially with sourdough breads that have been toasted. Crusts are always difficult to cut with the standard knives. I suggest if you want a table and you want to eat between 9 and 9.30, call ahead and reserve a table. It can get busy quickly. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. I've never had to wait too long for my meal to arrive. See less

Have been twice now. The food (breakfast) and service were excellent. Food is quite decadent. Good coffee too and they have lactose free milk. Decor isn't really my taste (it's in an office building), but I'll still go back. Very popular on weekends so you may have to wait a while for a table. See less
