Was uncertain after reading some of the reviews, but I’m glad I came here. A little on the pricey side, but you definitely pay for what you get here. Chicken is so moist and fresh, nothing is greasy, and everything tastes beautiful. Definitely recommend this place! See less

Ordered a west fried burger today and it didnt dissapoint. the chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. Chased it down with a glass of cheeky chooks beer and it went down a treat. Definitely recommend and eager to try the new hash brown angus beef burger looks amazing ..alot of menu choices makes this place ideal for the whole family See less

I've been to Cheeky Chook twice and have been impressed both times. The GC burger was delicious. The small chips I ordered were some of the tasty chips I've ever eaten, and the serving size was anything but small. I'm not a big beer drinker but the Cheeky Chook Lager was very easy to drink. My friend got chicken souvlaki skewers which looked good. I'm keen to go back and try more of the menu. See less

2021 update: oh my goodness, I love Adam. you ask for it and he makes it happen! his friendly can do attitude and brilliant service, he and his team behind the counter and in the kitchen never fail to deliver a tasty & feel-good meal. thank you for always providing the goods! we always walk away with a smile 😃 cheers! highly recommend the chicken schnitzel - the crumb is seasoned perfectly. none of that plain stodgy business. i also recommend literally any of the salads. every salad is the best. i also am fond of their chicken, chips, and gravy. they do the basics very well. original review: phenomenal food here! soooo fresh and delicious. a rotating range, always have specials, i absolutely love this place. Visited Friday 20th August 2021 for a whole chicken and chips. Had been putting off going to this place but knew it had a good reputation. However, I was disappointed. The chicken was over cooked with not even the tiniest bit of moisture left in it and was stringy and dry. The chips were perfectly cooked and crunchy but the potatoes they were made from didn’t have any discernible flavour. Hopefully my visit was an aberration, but they could certainly do better to earn that 5 star reputation. See less

Decided to go after reading the online hype. Went for lunch on Friday and not bad, not the biggest selection but that's probably a good thing. We got 2 of the West Fried burgers a small chips and gravy and 1 drink to share and it was about $40 so definitely on the more expensive side. The burgers were a little salty but overall we ate everything and will go back to try the charcoal chicken. Nice new addition for Henley Beach Rd which is getting a few new places atm. Too little size burger for $14. Too salty, small size meat in it. No water for dine in customer. Chips are overheated to eat without burning mouth. Beer on tap is broken; still the beer price card in front of it. See less

Finally found the best fried chicken in Adelaide! The buttermilk chicken pieces had the right amount of crunch, were not greasy, and they were well seasoned and had great flavour. The slice of lemon was great for a little added kick. The chips were delicious too once we let them cool down a little. Super fresh food! The pulled chicken roll was overflowing with chicken; no stingey servings here. The chocolate milkshake was nice but nothing too outstanding. Staff were friendly and efficient. Everything was clean, the décor is nice, plenty of seating, and there is a bathroom here too. Overall, a must-visit eatery. See less

Went to CCE last night for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. We went for the chicken bowl with choice of two salads, the cauliflower, coleslaw and Greek salad were delicious. The double cooked chips are indeed the best in Adelaide as previous reviewers have stated, just perfect. Good value, large portions and lovely staff. 👏🏼 See less
