I can’t rave enough about China Diner! Delicious food, interesting modern menu with a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. What I particularly love is that you can tell the ingredients are really fresh with no hint of MSG as one often experiences with Chinese food. Just fresh, quality ingredients, great flavours and well presented dishes with quite large servings. Service is attentive and friendly & commensurate with price. Yes a little on the more expensive side but I have no problem paying for great food and in my opinion it’s worth every cent. I’ve eaten here 3-4 times now and each time has been consistent in terms of food and service. I actually prefer the outdoor seating (on a summer’s evening) it’s a beautiful view over Harold Park. Also worth a mention are the desserts and the cocktails, both on point and add to a well rounded and pleasurable dining experience. I can’t understand how anyone could think this was not Chinese food, many traditional Chinese dishes as well as modern influences. Best thing that’s happened to the Tramsheds since it opened and hopefully here to stay. Highly recommend China Diner if you haven’t tried it yet! See less
