Spontaneously popped in for a quick dinner and were greeted with open arm! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, recommend some excellent meals that all hit the spot just right! Check what you're being charged. The menu on the website and displayed on the counter are the same, but I was asked to pay 50c more. Was told the printed menu was out of date and the website 3 years old and prices subject to change. I believe this to be dishonest and doubt I will support this restaurant again. Elaine See less

This is a regular favourite for us. We go here for dinner a few times a year and pick up take away at least once a week. It's allways busy and the food is fantastic that is why we keep going back even though there are a lot closer Chinese restaurants where we live. We have tried lots of other places but keep coming back here. There is plenty of parking available. We love the special fried rice and Laksa. We have never had a bad meal. We have tried lots of the menu. Have been going back for years. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks See less

Absolutely awesome neighbourhood Chinese which has a fab Laksa and Malaysian style Char Kway teow on the menu. The Shantung chicken and sizzling seafood mixes are scrumptious. Prices are very reasonable and the service is brisk and friendly. It’s BYO too. See less

Honestly the best Chinese food in Canberra! Linda and Dan have been running this business for over 30 years and continue to serve the community with the freshest and tastiest Chinese food. The boneless lemon chicken, fried chilli beef and special duck are a few of my favourites. As a heads up, this place can get very busy so expect long wait times on weekends- although it's really worth the wait! See less

My family and I dined at Chinatown last Friday and the food was incredible. I haven't had a Chinese meal like this in ages. Everything was so fresh and the prawn toast is hand made every day. Nothing is frozen, no MSG and you can definitely taste the difference. Highlights included: Mongolian Lamb, Special Fried Rice, BBQ Pork and Scallops Stir Fry. Not to mention the wonderful family that runs this restaurant: truly special people. Next time I'm in Canberra I'm definitely going back. See less

We have been trying to share our takeaway nights around the local restaurants and was so disappointed tonight. We were told 45 mins wait which is fine but it took 90 mins with no apologies. We asked for one dish less spicy and it was extremely spicy, we couldn’t eat it. We tried the Mango Chicken because it sounded interesting for Chinese. We shouldn’t have, it was nice big prawns but drowned in an orange mayonnaise. I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review but I needed to with our meal tonight. See less

I like BBQ pork chow mein with soft egg noodle and Dim sim streamed. Its so yummy!!! But I have to wait about 1.30 hours for delivery. Its long time a bit because Im really hungry. Haha See less

This place is amazing! We’ve been going to this restaurant for over 3 years and have never been let down. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. It is a small family run restaurant. Bookings are a good idea as it is quite small. Linda the owner is a beautiful person and takes time out to visit customers at the table to ensure they are happy with the meal. All the staff have worked there for years. Recommend pre-ordering duck and pancakes. The rock salt king prawns are out of this world. Sizzling beef is always a good option and Give the pepper chicken a try - yum! See less
