The old lady (I think the owner) is a bit racist. I have a South Asian background and I have gone to school and uni here and work a government job. I went there sometimes just to order food for a late dinner but when I get there that lady always asks me for the "Uber order" first...wth. She would then realise I am only there as a customer. I kinda brushed it off as "funny" each time it happened (which is everytime I went there 🤷🏽‍♂️) but one time my parents came for a visit, and I took my mom there and that lady was very rude to me and my mother. But then again, you're the ones who have to work a run-down restaurant anyway. The food wasn't really that good. It just was the only place opened throughout the pandemic times. My friends who are of Chinese backgrounds don't even think it's proper Chinese food. See less

Don’t waste your money. It’s that simple. Ordered the SEAFOOD LAKSKA. 3/4 of the meal was two separate types of store bought noodles. Followed by a super mild laksa sauce with 3 large chunks of tofu? Then a small handful (and I have small bloody hands) of overcooked, inedible seafood. You could flick & knock out someone with the calamari. It was hard like old rubber. Prawns x 2 pieces were like rock hard bullets. Fish pieces x pieces 2 were hard & tasted old. It was gross. All up… $21.40 by Uber completely wasted. It disgusts me that you actually charge for the inedible food that you make. It ended up it in the bin. See less

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Our meals tonight were nothing short of disgusting. The fried rice wasn’t cooked and there was clumps of uncooked rice, the eggplant hot pot basically was boiled eggplant with absolutely no taste, the 3rd meal was just as bad. It seems prices at Dumpling house have gone up while quality and quantity of serves have gone down. Save your money and go elsewhere See less

Always eat well here. Our favourite dishes are the Shanghai Pork Steam Bun (the soupy ones), the deep fried fish with chilli, Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce and special fried rice. They never disappoint. Yum! See less

I love this place. It feels local and the staff are a big family it seems and are on point. The Shanghai dumplings? I haven’t had better. Reasonable price that you can justify in place of a home dinner without guilt. See less

The lemon chicken was 100% frozen and rubbery, the restaurant was dirty and a mess and the food looked like leftovers. Would instead try Dumpling Social instead. See less

The staff here were unfriendly, unhygienic and lacked a sense of customer service. During COVID times, the chef in the kitchen was not wearing a mask, not wearing gloves and we saw him cough over a container and then proceed to use his bare hands to pick up food for a dish. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. See less

We really enjoyed the laid back service . We found the food to be hot and fresh served quickly. Lots of reasonable priced meals. The dumplings were delicious. Adequate quantities. Parking can be tight on the street. Decore is appropriate not over done. See less

Food was quick. Peaking duck could of given us a little more meat instead of putting them on prawn crackers to give it more volume. Staff service is quick but flat in terms of friendliness. The eggplant was ok, a little bit on the fishy side with the sauce they cook if in. See less

Restaurant is clean and rather large with seating options available both inside and out. I got the dumplings which were nice, I tried some of my friends 'combination hot pot' and we agreed they tasted like watered down instant noodles. So I wouldn't recommend that. The dumpling were not that filling. It was hard to get a staffs attention when wanting to order. See less

We went for dumplings. The vegetarian dumplings couldn't have been blander. Cabbage and carrots - that's all. No mushrooms, no herbs, no flavour. Load them up with the sauces, because that's the only flavour you'll detect. The other (meat) dumplings were marginally better. My 9 year old son blushed with embarrassment to be set a plastic bowl with kiddy-sized cutlery (he's a chopstick veteran, and it's been a long time since he has dropped any crockery). We also had to ask for water. Disappointing - we won't be back. See less
