Have just ordered from Chong Co Thai Toowoomba had a week working in Toowoomba . Looking for a nice Thai Take-away, what a disappointment, wasted so much time trying to get to restaurant to pick up, then food would have to be the lowest grade of Thai we have all eaten. Can not wait to get back to Sukothai in Maleny. Best Thai . See less

Had a lunch today at this restaurant “chongcothai” at 1250pm for one of our family’s birthday celebration but then encounter such a rude staff that has R in her name Asian, wearing eyeglass. This staff took our order, and upon asking if they have a certain kind of noodle which I believed common in this type of restaurant, this R answer me RUDELY and was told that if you want to have that go to noodlehut and make a really bad faces towards us. She could have just mention that they don’t serve that kind of noodle but her attitude towards us is beyond unexpected. She did not even apologize and did not even say thanks even we say thank you after getting our order. Upon paying and mention to other staff her behavior the other staff mention that she don’t understand us, and hello i’ve only ask ONE WORD and thats the reason she refer us to other restaurant while we are in the middle of finishing our order, the other staff also mention that this RUDE STAFF does not have a good day, well then i think she better had a day off rather than having that kind of attitude AT WORK AND DELIVER SUCH A BEHAVIOUR. Also the food were great but we have waited for 40 minutes before we got our food. See less

Chong Co had been our go to restaurant for a good meal but no more. We took our family who was visiting Toowoomba to Chong Co last night and the experience was very poor to say the least. No issues with the food but the service was appalling. It took over 2 hours to receive our mains and when they did come out there was 30 mins between the first main being served and the last main (some of our group had finished their main before others had even been served). The kitchen seemed to give priority to Uber Eats and Menu Log orders and we were basically ignored. There was also a breakdown in communication with the wait staff as before we received our mains a waiter came to our table and asked us to order food as the kitchen was about to close (we ordered 2 hours earlier). Needless-to-say, this didn't go down well and we had to do a Karen and ask to speak to the manager. To make matters worse my 12 year old daughter is vegetarian and ordered the vegetable Pad Thai but when it eventually came out (she was the last one served) it had chicken on the plate. The poor girl just cried and we had a pretty miserable dining experience. The manager did provide a discount on the meal but the night was ruined. We'll go back to eating at Pad Thai on Margaret Street in the future. See less

We were at Toowoomba restaurant tonight and we had a great meal but the young lady working on the drinks was very slow as we had to ask twice for our drinks. We were nearly finished our meal before we received our drinks. Not acceptable for a restaurant as word gets around about service. See less

Beef pad Thai, Thai fried rice, papaya salad with BBQ chicken were all really good! Would definitely recommend these dishes. Dumplings were ok. Nothing special - taste reminded me of pre-frozen siu-mai. The Thai milk tea was also alright - maybe too much ice & not enough substance. They also forgot a drink we ordered & when we finished our food, it still hadn't come... See less

First Time eating here, every time we walk pass it looks busy, which is promising. My partner ordered duck salad, which was dry & tiny serving size of duck. I ordered Wagyu, which came out cold, under cooked, chewy tiny pieces of cut up meat. Really over priced,. Not sure what the hype is about this place. Doesn't look like the place has been dusted since opening 😱 - look up at the shutters if you decide to eat there, hopefully it's been cleaned. See less

Great food and service was very good. A bit hard to hear the servers at times with a mask on, but that is the world we live in currently. Two in the party had a banquet with generous portions. I had the lamb shank Massaman (pictured) and it was sensational. I will order exactly the same next time. See less

This is hands down the very best Thai restaurant in Toowoomba. We regularly visit Chong Co and the food is always fresh and we have never had to wait long periods of time for the food to be delivered to our table. Best calamari in town for sure! The staff are super friendly, the cocktails are delicious and they have one of my favourite wines on their menu. Unlike most of the other Thai restaurants in Toowoomba the restaurant is spacious (ie you're not sitting on top of the table next door to you and listening into their conversations) and the ambience of the restaurant is spot on. Keep up the great work Chong Co! See you again soon. See less

Amazing authentic Thai food that is generous in serves and reasonably priced. Friendly attentive staff and a lovely venue. We have now been going for two years but wish we had come here sooner!!! We are located an hour away, it is so worth the drive. If you love Thai food be sure not to miss this one! See less

We came to this restaurant because the food court was full! That was lucky, because we enjoyed every bit of the food we ordered. Staff are nice and friendly. Authentic and delicious food. Price is not too bad it's really worth every penny. See less
