New restaurant with grilled meat on skewers. No regular Chinese food here. Quite a venture considering all the competition around Dickson. We tried all the special marinated meats on skewers - beef, chicken and lamb. The marinade is the same for the different meats. Then went for chicken gizzard, pig intestines, Lebanese brinjals, stir fried clams with shallot and garlic, pan fried pork dumplings.
Interesting mixture which made me think of “yakiniki” - office workers in Tokyo, who join their colleagues for drinks after work hours. Atmosphere was similar here though most were eating rather than drinking.
Co Bar is new and trendy, services by young Chinese. Hopefully they will find support from those who do not want to eat much but want to catch up with friends over cold beers or teas. Unique and pretty good food, nice ambience too.
