Great local and family run fish and chip shop. We stay in Capel Sound regularly and this is our local. Friendly and efficient, and they use chicken salt - BONUS. Others around that are overly busy because they are on main roads - this one is great 10/10 - never had a bad experience. Oh and DELICIOUS. See less

Attended the shop to view the menu only you find "flake" the only fish listed. No alternatives where displayed on the menu posted in the window. Whilst the term "flake" has been used historically, it is also helpful to list the exact species of shark. I don't eat shark, especially when the species is not clearly listed. Not all sharks are sustainable and flake is a generic term that doesn't help consumers make informed choices. On a positive note, great artwork on the side of the shop is worth a look. Especially if you love sharks. See less

I’ve had fish and chips from most providers near Rosebud. Last night we ordered flake, chips, potato cakes and fried dim sun. Absolutely the worst we have ever had. Soaky and no flavour. Tried but could not eat it. $35 into the rubbish bin. So disappointing. See less

We had hamburgers and they were very average. The roll was on the small side for $11 & the base was soggy. The meat patty was way smaller than the roll. The salad was was ok. Will not be rushing back for this. See less

Fantastic. As a well seasoned lover of fish and chips I can highly recommend Coaster . Not only are the fish and chips delicious , but you get very generous portions too , other than some other places , which are just enough to feed a sparrow, I always get much more than I can eat and share them out to others . Crispy delicious chips. Very more-ish , and they are always friendly and very nice to the customers .
