WOW - I don't know where to really start. We arrived 15 mins earlier than our allotted booking time to be told that I quote "in the future don't come early" this was repeated on numerous occasions by what throughout the night turned out to be a very inexperienced waiter. As we were the first booking of the evening might I suggest that you not unlock the doors and make believe you are open (it was 5.45pm)
Food: Anchovy bread, store brought, warmed in a microwave with 2 anchovies slapped on each slice. The prosciutto carpaccio assuming you could find the cheap tasteless prosciutto as it was hidden under a bag of rocket leaves with no dressing. The mains ordinary at best.
Drinks: Ordered a bottle of Italian Rose, poured a glass looked at the bottle and realised it was in fact a local Rose from Goulburn. I bought this to the attention of the waiter who advised that yes he was aware it wasn't what I asked for but due to Covid they didn't have the Italian bottle of wine I requested, asking why he didn't inform me and that I was not paying $38 for this bottle, he simply shrugged his shoulders insisted that I had to pay for it and left. 5 minutes later he returns with another bottle. In total I pay for 1 bottle I didn't get and 1 bottle I didn't want.
$205. for 2 people when in reality it was worth no more than $100 at best
Closing: Not impressed with the inexperienced staff or food, there are definitely better Italian places in Canberra.
The only real Italian in the restaurant was the person I was dining with. See less
