After reading a lot of the reviews, it is obvious that most of the bad ones were from 2 years ago before new management. I must say having lived locally I never bought seafood from this place until after covid hit. I have been buying salmon sashimi from them a few times a week for 2 years now and the quality has always been top notch no complaints whatsoever. The lady owner is very nice and young gentleman that's there almost everyday who serves me every time knows exactly what I want and sometimes offer me the freshest cut as he knows I'm buying sashimi. I personally think this shop is way more reasonable than the one at the mall and they are just genuine people trying to make a living. See less

Don’t think they’ve ever not forgotten something in my order, I believe it’s because the person at the counter doesn’t listen properly to what time saying and just rushes through it, usually it’s the sauce, no big deal but quite annoying to constantly as if they packed the sauce in and finding out of course they haven’t, this time it was the calamari rings like open your ears please , food is good but service people are illiterate See less

Bought prawns and leather jacket. Prawns the worst I've had and the fish was off the very next day. Don't waste your money. They just don't have enough turnover of product. See less

A very nice place to eat. Ever since it was under new family management, the shop looks so clean, doesn't have that fish smell when you walk pass by the shop, very attentive and nice staff, very fast and good service, giving you generous amount of food when you order their Chef's special which cost $10-13, variety of fresh fish everyday. The new management are horrendous in the way in which they go about service and delivery of their product. I have been going to Costi since it opened and never have I been this disappointed with not only the quantity but the quality of their foods, I can say talking from my perspective this is the last time I will be coming to their fish and chips shop as i would rather get better fish and chips from a quality fish and chips store. We bought fish and chips and calamari and it was awful. Very expensive and absolutely not worth it. The fish cocktails were inedible, with thick batter that hadn't cooked through. As it was a takeaway, we didn't realise until we got it home otherwise we would have brought it back and asked for a refund. We will never go there again. It's worth the drive to Forestville shops to Olde Fish Shop. Their food is superior in every way. See less

A great place that is definitely more than just a seafood takeaway. Not only you can buy fresh seafood but you can also enjoy fast and fresh seafood dishes here. I tried their “guilty pleasures” deep fried seafood and they were so good. I also loved the eggplant salad and thre scallops. The highlight for me was definitely the salmon burger. I went to order take away fish and chips. I said to the lady behind the counter I don't mind paying more I want good fish. She asked the gentlemen what was good and they told her snapper. I said that's fine crumbed. The fish was inedible. It was as tough as the sole of my shoe. The chips were soggy and unsalted. How hard can simple fish and chips be? Worst I have ever eaten. See less
