Devour was nominated for a work meeting in the Richmond area and I was pleasantly surprised. Initially we were just there for coffee but on sighting some of the dishes being delivered, I changed my mind! Ordered the avocado on toast (an easily comparable staple) and it was marvellous: the eggs were perfectly cooked, the toast was separate (not soggy), the chilli oil, shallots and coriander made it irresistible. Conversation had to slow down significantly while the meal was enjoyed. Had a standard cappucino on the side and it was solid but by no means outstanding. Cafe itself is medium sized and at lunch was packed with young mothers and their babies. You would be happy to have this as your local if you lived in the area. See less

Solid brunch place with an asian touch on the menu and the standard brunch meals. Great atmosphere and service, with all tables filled during lunch. Ordered the big breakfast and breakfast bao with iced long black and iced matcha for drinks. The iced matcha was slightly on the sweeter side and the turkish bread was undertoasted. Bacon strips, pork sausages and hash browns were better than expected. Would recommend going again but does not stand out from any other brunch place. See less

Came here for breakfast the other morning and was pretty excited considering I've been coming here for coffee for a a while but i have to unfortunately say it was very disappointing. I ordered the smashed avo that said it was available as a vegan option as it came with poached eggs for around 19 dollars. When it came out it literally had 2 pieces of dry bread and avocado with a handful of coriander the worst part is they charged the same. Very disappointing maybe remove the fact that it is a vegan option if you are not willing to add extra toppings such as tomato, mushroom or spinach which is in other meals on your menu it's unacceptable. On the plus side the coffee was good so it wasn't a total waste. I hate to give bad review's but it is honest feedback. Don't waste your time or money eating here. See less

It was good but my pot of tea was so weak it was tasteless. I'm not a fan of very herby sausages so I won't order those again. Big serves and good service. We'll definitely go back and try other things. See less

Lunch at @devourcafe - consistently good food! Haven't been back in ages, and there were new items on the menu. Tasty! . Potato rosti with chorizo and poached eggs: this was a fantastic dish! The potato rosti was nice and crispy, and the chorizo was very tasty. Perfectly poached eggs too! . Mushroom and haloumi baos: nicely steamed baos with really delicious fillings. The mushrooms were great, and you just can't go wrong with grilled haloumi! . Iced matcha latte: one of the few places that actually make a decent iced matcha latte 😅. See less

A real surprise in this part of the city, was pretty crowded though not sure where all these people showed up from, as the locale seems very quiet.. good buzz and great food.. and they are one of the few that serve my favourite coffee so that swung the scales for me.. See less

Had a great time for brunch and you wouldn’t be disappointed with any of their breakfast or lunch options. Place is easily accessible and there’s plenty of parking on Davenport Tce or Ellen Street. Would go again for the steak sandwich, normally cafes of similar variety give you a few steak strip pieces but this was an entire steak piece in the sandwich! I topped it off with a piece of fried chicken as well which was a pretty good! See less

Local cafe with plenty of free parking. Food is always good and cheaper then others in the area. The staff are friendly and they cater to all crowds. When we were there on a quiet Thursday lunch there was a mother's and babies group in one corner and a few people working on laptops in another. If they had outside seating would be even better.
