I love Vietnamese food and have been to a few places now. I ordered the pork and prawn rice paper rolls and hands down this place served the BEST crispy skin chicken and tomato rice I have ever had. See less

Been here a few times, food is always delicious and the service is exceptional. If you are thirsty give the sugar cane and passionfruit drink ago. See less

Quite good Vietnamese food with a wide selection of dishes. They are fast and have very good service. The flavours tend to be on the sweet side though and a touch pricey but overall a nice place to eat. See less

This place makes me fall even more in love with Vietnamese cuisine and I especially recommend trying their new dishes! The crispy mini pancakes were incredibly tasty mouthfuls, and the larger pancake was so crispy and flavourful with pork and prawns. Also loved trying bun cha for the first time - super succulent meatballs in a deliciously refreshing soup with vermicelli. Also can't go wrong with classics like crispy egg chicken noodles and grilled pork cutlet rice with a runny egg. Such a fantastic feed! See less

Customer service is good, the meat in pho is not. Beef is like rubber and over cooked, raw beef is too thick to get ready. We put bin all meat and had two soup. Fried rice is ok. See less

Food was quite nice, on the more expensive side for Vietnamese but understandable in a shopping centre. Ordered at the same time and all three dishes came at different times with other tables receiving their food first. Sneaky credit card surcharge is disappointing considering the food cost. See less

Pho was best ive tasted in sydney. Cleanliness of broth, heartyness and depth were all perfect. The soup temperature was piping hot - which many others fail to do. The veges so fresh. God damnit the pho here made me cry. Way better than bankstown on every metric possible. The stirfry rice was also piping hot with that tasty high heat slightly burnt taste. See less

Our local vietnamese restaurant, we love it. The pho soup base suits our taste and is approved by our picky kids. Actually most of the dishes are pretty good quality. Cant wait for the lock down to end so we can eat in. Keep up the good work! See less

They should improve customer waiting time. 30 mins waiting time for just 2 laksa take away at non-peak time doesn’t make sense to many people. See less

Hot tip and cultural insight....Vietnamese iced coffee is essentially a short, sweet latte on ice. This means lots of ice (as below) and a small amount of coffee. This is true Vietnamese style! If you’re expecting more coffee to quench your thirst, recommend you grab an iced coffee at Starbucks or Chatime nearby. This is a drink-only review, but the food at District 1 is great too! Great pho flavour (great broth)! See less

The place is quite small, its a bit hard to get to your table when people are eating. The decoration is really nice with lanterns on the ceiling and photographs on the wall. The food is okay. Ordered combination beef pho, the broth was tasty but not as hot as it should be. A bit pricy in general. See less

Very good Vietnamese food, especially relative to the other Vietnamese options in the area Excellent pho. Great soup base, very tasty. The Vermicelli is also very good, but it is a little spicy. Seating area is quite small and cramped, and the bathroom is outside the restaurant around the corner (but very close) See less

Staff was nice but had difficulty understanding general questions or requests such as make sure not to use oyster sauce on my vegetarian wife's meals. The crispy noodle had a rubbery chewiness, and did not taste fresh, we presumed that it was pre-fried on standby for awhile. Their Combination Beef Pho was disappointing, the broth lack richness, depth and flavor, the beef also tested bland. The sugar cane juice with passion fruit was surprisingly nice. Their price was slightly high. See less

Overall, alright, but probably won't come back unless I'm really after Vietnamese food. Food: I had the beef vermicelli dish which was really lacking in flavour, even with the sauces provided on the tables added to the dish. The beef was ok but I've had much better from Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Service: was really great, staff were attentive and friendly and this was the main reason for a three star rating. The food came out very quickly, perhaps too quickly. Price: The cheaper dishes are around $15 which is not ridiculous but considering the food tastes like fast food (and most probably sits in the kitchen), is a bit pricey. Space: a good attempt to remove the restaurant from the very busy centre, but not the best there is around. See less

This place is probably the best (and only) Vietnamese place in Macquarie centre. A big premium on the food and drinks but nevertheless very tasty and well presented. Bowls, plates, cutlery ooze a bit more quality than most viet food stores. I would say the prices are about $3-5 dollars more expensive but if you're in the shopping centre and you feel like Vietnamese you won't go wrong. I love the spring rolls here and the lemon soda. The Vietnamese coffee is black with condensed milk but there's so much ice you don't get much coffee itself. Seating is a bit tight if you are lugging around a pram but it can fit groups of 10 (squishy wooden tables and chairs). They do have one baby seat available. Ambience is nice with dim lighting and culturally appropriate photos and decorations from ceiling to floor. Not sure if you will come here for the experience though. More so the short supply of Viet food in this area. Next best is probably around Eastwood. See less
