GONE DOWN HILL BIG TIME - have been regular customers for years but simply can't go anymore. Tried so many times to go back but had problems every time. The bar and wait staff are great - but the KITCHEN IS TERRIBLE. The food service and quality of food has been reducing significantly over the past two years (your chips were the best in Darwin now they are an over cooked mess). Consistently over cooked food, or missing items E.g. no pumpkin in a pumpkin salad. We've ordered together as a couple but received meals 10-15 minutes apart on numerous occasions. We won't be back as this keeps happening. See less

Love this pub. We have never had a bad meal here. Premium wine list accompanying a deliciously cooked menu. You will find all the classics presented better than you will get anywhere else in Darwin. See less

Just spent 3 months in Darwin on an extended trip to see family. Dolly's became my "local" and I enjoyed many wonderful meals there with my extended family. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is great. Generous servings and a very tasty menu. See less

Had two of the lunch specials - fish and chips and the Wagyu burger. Fish and chips was overly greasy enough that if you squeezed it, your hands are dripping in grease. Burger was tasty but at the end of the day it tastes like a classic tuck shop burger - not worth the name or price tag if you buy it on a dinner service. The chips I’ve left last because they lack everything that you would want in a nice pub feed - dry, stale and no crunch. Turn your fryer up and change the oil. Save your money and appetite for a better venue. See less

Waited 45 mins for our meals. We booked for 6pm... were the third table to put our order in. Watched other tables who came in AFTER us get their meals. Asked the waitress to check whether or meals were in the system. She came back to tell us " they're coming now". Another 10 mins passed and you guessed it, other tables got their food. Asked the manager to check... to be told"they're on their way". Two meals came out, we waited some more. Then another two meals came out and were incorrect. The food was OK. The most disappointing thing is not one apology. Not one acknowledgement that a mistake was made. Oh well... See less

Have been coming to this place for years but felt I needed to comment tonight especially. They were really busy - good to see - AND the food and service were still excellent! I had a steak ( scotch fillet) which was perfect. Service with a smile and no long wait time for food despite a couple of large groups dining. Well done, keep it up (as usual). See less

This is what $35 dollars gets you, a over cooked bit of leather, did ask for medium to rare, and was told the heat lamp must of over cooked it, the highlight of this meal was the wilted salad, what a shame. Won't be returning if this is the quality you get. See less

Cheap cocktails, beer by the pint, most staff are really friendly (bar the french one), incredible food. New and clean inside albeit the theming is a little mixed up. Avoid the karaoke and band nights as is far too loud for what is normally a nice quiet pub to visit. Not at all dog friendly and the beer garden is always full of smokers. See less
