Ordered takeaway on Tuesday night, (10/08/21) my friend and I both ended up with food poisoning. This isn't the first we've heard of food poisoning from there either. Don't waste you're time and money. See less

Five of us ordered the prawn rissoto. Portion sizes were all over the place and looked they had been plonked into the dish. The rissoto itself was was gluggy and tasteless, and I counted 4 small pieces of prawn in my dish. The waitress we spoke to about the portions was borderline aggressive so we let it drop. I did send an email the next day but heard nothing back hence this post. Over priced for the quality of the food and poor service. See less

Well we went to this Italian restaurant. So it said. The meal came out just worm it went cold in like a minute. On asking the lady why all I got was a very dumb look. Not o can I heat that at up for you nothing but a dumb look is what I got back. I asked for extra partisan cheese in a bowl on the side. They said o we put it on at the table. I SAID OK, great can I still have a bowl on the side. Yes she said. Then no Pamisan cheese on top nothing but a cold Cabinara. I asked for garlic bred and got a pizza bread. Tast wise, not worth the walk I've cooked better my self. Very disappointing. No help from the staff what so ever. Just o well that the way it is. Price was reasonable. Also on a Tuesday night the meal took near an hour to get a cold meal out.. Is there a decent Italian restaurant in Townsville??? Frank's was just ok go there. Don’t waste your time or money. Terrible service. Staff avoid customers and are unhappy to speak with them but happy to stand behind the bar and chat with each other. When food arrived chef has substituted food items due to running out of stock but customers were not advised in advance, and if you comment staff are unconcerned. The carbonara tastes more like an Alfredo pasta, very monotonous taste. Only saving grace was the pizza and risotto are pleasant. Overall wouldn’t come back or recommend See less

**This review is based of nothing else but the food** Genuinely a waste of money. This was my $28.50 meal. PUMPKIN & SAGE GNOCCHI with Potato gnocchi with pumpkin, brown butter & sage (picture attached) Yes it is physically not appealing in the picture but don't be fooled, these dry gnocchi rocks with zero sage taste or aroma genuinely tastes like a $5 discount bin microwave meal. You can argue the meal on the website is only $21 and you would be right so I attached my receipt so you can see my charges for yourself. (Yes I got the chicken add on but you do the maths it still doesn't work) But to be fair even for $10 this meal would still only get a 2 star for value for money. And a 1 for presentation and taste. It is dry and tastless, as a chef I would be disgusted in this meal and would certainly be second guessing my ability and career future if I thought this meal was even close to being near a level that should be presented to a Guest for consumption. I usually give second chances but not when it is this bad. Will not be going back. See less

Truly Awful 😞 Ordered First Time Thru Uber Eats & Really Excited for a Yummy Italian Nite But Extremely Disappointed With the Quality of What Arrived! Garlic Pizza Cold Tasteless Nothing like the Pic. Hardly Any Cheese 🧀 Calamari Cold & Bland with Some Dead Lettuce Leaves Under for Garnish….. We were very excited as it was our first experience of delivered food not by choice we are in quarantine. The order came in good ti.e but was dreadful . 3half circles of salt and pepper calamari on dead leaf mix about half an extreme serve ĺike rubber slice of lemon 1/4 cop aoli . The Chips would have been very nice if hot . And the pizza tasteless and Luke warm . So some what let down by the experience .won't be back. See less

Donna Bionda has been our go to restaurant in Townsville for a couple of years but Covid 19 meant a break of over 12 months. We returned recently to celebrate our 39th anniversary with two good friends and remembered the reason why this is one of our favourite places to eat. The food is simple but tasty and well priced to suit couples, groups or families, based around Italian family food. Comfort levels are fair but it can get noisy when full making conversation difficult. The service is also fair with young staff learning the ropes but everything is delivered with a smile. Whether locals or visitors eating here won't be a disappointment. See less

Had a wonderful dinner here last night. I'm pregnant with very annoying aversions and they did not hesitate to accommodate my requests for exclusion/substitution of components. Their steak is hands down the tastiest and best presented steak I've had in Townsville. See less

Donna Bionda is the gem of City Lane. Fast service, friendly staff, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Food was delicious, highly recommend the ravioli! The set up confused me a little bit as there are two seating rooms with the kitchen in the middle and I sat in the smaller left hand room. Look forward to going back to try more dishes off the menu!
