The absolute best coffee around. The quality and consistency is insane I don't know how they do it. Sandwiches and cakes are a treat too, so so good. Dan, Kai and the team are superb. See less

Fantastic coffee. Homemade cakes. Small menu which was refreshing to see. All options are affordable too - no price hikes for dressed up meals “for the ‘gram”. Like most places around, you can bring your dog and sit outside in the sun. My only gripe: please open on weekends! See less

You cant ask more from their top notch coffee making skill. The owner Dan is , the top roaster with more than a decade speciality coffee roasting experience. Silky milk , rich flavor espresso shot. Super warm service make your feel like it's to your own cafe. The sandwich n the homemade cake is great complementary with the coffee. See less

How do I like my coffee someone asked? Exactly like how they make it at Double Tap. Plus they do all the variations & well. Big, small, almond, oat, soy, cold drip, you name it. But don't stop at just coffee. The food is just as good. The menu is accessible & affordable by which I mean lots of tasty, healthy, not boring options that are very well priced. Delicious toasties & sandwich filling options, stunning salad bowls with your choice of protein, 2 homemade cakes daily plus pastries & sweets. Add to that speedy service, spacious indoor/outdoor seating options, smiles & friendliness and its as close to perfection as it gets. See less

The staff were super professional, friendly and apologised for the delay in their service even though we only waited around 8mins for our food and coffee to arrive (we had 4 people)! The sandwiches, salads and coffee were amazing and delicious. I am going to visit this cafe before or after bouldering at Blochaus (it's a 2min walk) now that I know it's really nice and highly recommend everyone else to do so as well! :) See less

Such a cute place. As a visitor from Melbourne where coffee is like religion, Double Tap Coffee was like I was what I needed, as I have struggled finding decent coffee. Also had a toastie, which was also very tasty! The service also prompt and super friendly! Highly recommend ! See less

We love visiting new cafes for coffee, especially those places where the coffee is excellent but the staff are also friendly and not at all arrogant. That is certainly the case at Double Tap. This neighbourhood cafe In Marrickville in the backstreets amongst factories and plenty of mechanics. It is quite hard to find a car spot but take the chances for it is worth a visit! We had been recommended to visit here by a few people including @where_do_i_eat_pete and my brother who lives in the area. A local barista also identified this as one of his favourites. We don’t live in area so it’s been difficult for us to visit since they only open Mon-Friday. I took the opportunity on my holidays to visit. I enjoyed it so much that I returned twice more. By the third time, they’d already remembered my order. That’s impressive. I can understand why. Owner Daniel Karaconji was roaster at Coffee Alchemy for 9 years so certainly knows his way around a coffee shop. He’s the front of house and is perfect for the role since he makes you feel welcome by his inviting smile and kind demeanour around the cafe. The barista is also friendly, and makes a good cup of coffee. Using their own roasted beans for the milk based and single O for their espresso. On my first visit, I enjoyed the coffee so much and that’s what made me return. On the return visited I opted for food too. The sandwich menu is super reasonable, at only $11 for eggplant, tuna, free range ham, mortadella, poached chicken or our choice, the Pastrami Reuben. Freshly toasted bread filled with pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles, cheese and a special sauce. A super tasty lunch option. For the lovers of salad like me, they also sell salad bowls with just veggies, chicken or tuna. A salad base with a large piece of baked pumpkin, lentils, shaved carrot and beetroot, sauerkraut. Nicely seasoned tuna with oil and capers rests atop the salad. The flavours work well together and it is filling too. For $13, that’s great value. In the counter there are are croissants, pastries and cakes as well as some pre-made sandwiches for those on the go. We had one of their almond croissants, filled with custard and raspberry which made it nice and sweet. The space itself is casual with plenty of space, wooden tables and a large feature wall with a lovely botanical mural. The native flowers on the table are in keeping with this theme. Open til 3, they are able to service all the locals and workers in the area and people on a destination visit like me! I’ll be sure to be back on my next day off. See less

The team at Double Tap are second to none. The store has a cosy, simple yet comforting feel but everything here is done with purpose. This is the most consistent Cafe I've visited and each experience is always delivering the same mouth watering quality you'll come to expect. The coffees, are amongst the best I've had in my life The sandwiches let me tell you, the beef pastrami is hands down the best sanga I've had in my life. The real winner though is the customer service, Danny and his team are always going above and beyond and make you feel like guests. It's why I visit there twice a week even though it's out of my way. Double Tap is my happy place. See less

Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. We order the chicken sandwich and chicken salad bowl. Both were fresh and tasty. Be aware that you have to order and pay at the counter before you sit down. We will definitely come back! See less
