I visited El Jannah Chicken Punchbowl on 18/4 Easter Monday Public Holiday. I purchased four charcoal chickens, one chicken burger, two large chips (which were cold by the time I got home 10 minutes later), one large tabouli and one bag of Lebanese bread, which came to a “Grand” total of $114.20. I was also charged 15% surcharge because of the public holiday. While there may be no limits on the amount that a business can charge for a public holiday surcharge, I can’t help but feel ripped off. How can they justify charging 15% extra for fast food. See less

(ISSUE RESOLVED BY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALLY) I wouldn’t have posted this but no one picked up my call and don’t know where to register my complaint. I ordered chicken meal and burgers and chicken was all burnt and black. And I ended up throwing my food. Pathetic experience. Looking forward for someone to get back to me on this. See less

Having experienced Campbelltown and Granville this was a disappointment! Wait times were long here. Staff walked past without opening another register. When i was finally served the girl hardly understood my order. Everything was an extra cost. Lunch for a 1/4 chicken and small Tabouli shouldn’t be $16!! Gave up and went around the corner to AWAFI for 1/2 the price! See less

Tried this for the first time a couple weeks back and I was not disappointed. Hands down the best charcoal chicken I have ever had and the fried chicken is right up there as well. The spicy chicken burger had a mad kick to it 👌 everything was really good and the customer service was good even though they were busy during peak dinner time. I can't wait to come back! See less

I'm not sure why a franchise does not have proper processes in place to make sure the food is great all the time. The last few times I have had inconsistent experiences with taste and also the chicken is dry as. On top of the dry chicken, poor and meaningless customer service, they had a 15 percent surcharge on a public holiday for their dry inconsistent experience, which is higher than fine dining restaurants. I will never go back and will only go to Granville. Also, note to take away customers, check that your chips are cooked properly, I ended up with semi cooked chips and had to cook them myself once I got home See less

I usually come here often, but apparently cause of the holidays they are charging 15% surcharge. That’s right, not 1.5% …. THEY ARE CHARGING 15% ON BOTH CASH AND CARD PAYMENTS. Never in my whole life have I paid 15% surcharge on cash, they are basically ripping us off in all honesty. It’s not about the money, but it’s about the open overcharge. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED, didn’t expect a company like that to do such a thing. SHAME See less

One thing I love about El Jannah is their crispy chips. When we got home we found the chips were far from crispy. Surely when cooking chips it is easy enough to tell that they are cooked or not. See less

After living overseas for 9 years, and remembering El Jannah as the restaurant in Granville. Coming back to find out they've grown, franchised out worried me... Till today. My god this chicken is still as amazing, the sauce is less intense now (back in the days I couldn't breathe after a dip of garlic sauce 😅) now it's much smoother. I have yet to try the burgers. Best grilled chicken in the area. You can’t go wrong with El Jannah This location is easily spotted, and there’s street parking or even train station right opposite. Place is clean, customer service is friendly and great. No long queue and did not have to wait long for food to be served. See less

One of the best if not The Best Chicken Roll. Make sure they put those “Heavenly” garlic sauce in it. Their takeaway Full chicken is also great value if combine with extra garlic serving & their Bread rolls. See less
