We travelled up from the Blue Mountains to savour some fresh seafood. Then we saw the crowd chaos at the Fisherman's Wharf and there was no dine In available, we then found Ela Mesa and had their The Ela Mesa main. We were simply amazed at the quality of seafood , its presentation and the great service and the ambience . Thoroughly recommend!!!! See less

The menu (for which we had to ask after 5 minutes) offers a reasonable variety. I enjoyed the slow cooked lamb although it lacked depth of flavour and my wife ordered John Dory which she described as ordinary. The wait staff are inexperienced and Paul the proprietor is one of the rudest restaurateurs I have ever encountered. We will never return. See less

The food was excellent and so was the service, we went there for my boyfriend birthday and Rachel couldn’t have been nicer. She was quick, efficient and friendly. We had such an amazing night we will definitely go back! See less

Fantastic food but you won’t be welcomed with a mobility device… seemed a fair request to find an unobtrusive spot to park my scooter as the restaurant was fairly empty, but sadly not. Ps. Check with your waiter, I requested one table near the door. It would have meant moving two chairs to accommodate us. Your rudeness created all the confusion. See less

So delicious! My table enjoyed the slow cooked lamb, the lamb souvlaki and the chicken yemistos which were all fabulous. The chocolate cake was an excellent way to finish. Super rich and perfect for sharing. The live Greek music added the perfect ambiance for our meal. See less

Been many times to ela mesa. But must say on wed 1st dec... It was quite disappointing. We....4 of us opted for the ela mesa lunch deal $65 for 2courses. All except the ela mesa octopus was yumm. The squid was so gross. Yukkkkk. The main was balmain bugs and prawns.....normally chargrilled and so delish....but these were covered in some sort of green stuff....non identified.....but ruined it. I dont drink...no non alcohol choices.....only beer so i had sparkling water....mmmmm not un such a hurry to go back. And with how rude the owner is....i really dont know why we bother... See less

A mediocre night out, sorry to say ! We were so much looking forward to a catch up on Saturday 27/11/21 with our 2 friends after months of lock down and trying a new restaurant on the Peninsula. We are locals and like to dine out. We had not been before and liked the decor & vibe of light music playing when we arrived. Our attendant was attentive at first but we received someone else's entree. Ours came shortly after. The mains were not authentic Greek. More of Greek meets pub with chips & salad... That's where the service ended and the music ramped up to a 'rave party', which the larger tables enjoyed but we hated. We could not talk across the table. No one offered us desserts or drinks which we would have ordered. You may have got another $150 out of us. We left with ears ringing but before we did, the owner (i assumed - a grumpy guy with hat on and white beard), processed our bill of just over $200. We asked if we can pay half each. He said a rude "NO" and pointed to a business card sign that said "No split bills". That was our last and lasting impression of Ela Mesa. We have friends coming shortly from Cairns and this was a trial to see whether we should take them there. We will definitely spend our money elsewhere. Sad, as we like to support local businesses and employees. They need nurturing and training. The little things mean a lot. See less

I was with a group of 20 ppl for a birthday celebration. We waited at least 20 minutes before floor staff approached us for our drink orders. The food was disgusting....and super expensive!!! I couldn't bring myself to eat my meal. Big crosses to the owner ,he was very rude. Ticks for our waitress , she was awesome. The entertainment set a good atmosphere, unfortunately the food was over priced and tasted horrible. Definitely wont return. See less

What a gem , tucked away in Woy Woy..we enjoyed everything about this wonderful restaurant...the food was authentic Greek cuisine and typically very generous serves. The staff attentive , entertaining and contributed to the evening ..Elias thanks for insisting we try the baklava..!! The two man band was thoroughly entertaining But if you don’t like Greek music you may not appreciate their skill and repertoire...being Greek I loved it !! We will definitely be coming back with our friends and family... Μπράβο Πεδία!! Our party of 11 celebrated New Year’s Eve ...we had a Fantastic time the set menu was ALL delicious and lots of food ...the bouzouki of Andonis was magnificent..great night ...highly recommended!!! Nice restaurant with authentic Greek food on offer. Busy (popular) so try to book ahead so you get a seat if you are going on a weekend. The prices range in the mid to high 20s for a main with entrees in the mid teens to low 20s. Portion sizes are good and the food is tasty. See less

This was my first time visiting Ela Mesa, WOW! Great service (Paula is amazing!) and the food was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to edit and upload my other camera shots, these mobile phone ones will have to do for now... I highly recommend this place for any functions, weddings, events or performance spaces. Well done to the friendly and efficient team at Ela Mesa. This StarViking Diva 🌟 enjoyed every minute! See less
