Decided on some meze, as we weren’t that hungry for dinner. They were friendly, accommodating, and the food and cocktails were excellent!! The waiter happy to explain the cuisine, more than proud of it. And there was some (accidental-in the kitchen) plate smashing (Opa!!), live band playing some traditional tunes and dancing to be had. Amazing experience. Food was delicious and we'll cooked. Servers were extremely good. Atmosphere here was amazing with a live band playing. Prices are a bit high. But the quality of food is the reason for that. If you are after a quiet dinner, do not go here on a night with live music, but this just adds to the atmosphere and environment of this greek restaurant. See less

Dined here on Sunday afternoon. Firstly I have to say that the food was absolutely delicious, in fact the Tarama was one of the best I have had in a long time. Handmade pitta was beautiful. Calamari, octopus and moussaka also delicious and cooked beautifully. Lovely presentation. Great lemon, lime & bitters as well, perfectly balanced, refreshing drink. However, we thought the prices were pretty steep - a meal for 2 people, with NO alcoholic drinks was $180.....I was shocked when the bill came out, considering we only ordered 1 main course, the rest were starters and entree size. Food and service was great. We were a little disappointed by being offered the table right behind the counter, but staff quickly relocated us upon request and despite the place getting busy very quickly staff were attentive and service was good. Slow booked goat was brilliant as was the Mousaka. See less

What a very pleasant and wonderful surprise! This business is fantastic! My family and i attended here for a birthday, and the food was absolutely delicious! My family and I are definitely no strangers to Greek cuisine, and we were all very surprised at how good the quality, taste and portions were! The customer service was excellent, with staff being friendly, helpful, relaxed and professional. Food was brought out promptly despite the business being fairly busy at the time. Although the pricing of the food was a bit more than I expected, the price is definitely worth it, as the quality far surpassed what you'd expect to pay for it. In this way, it was actually really good value for money! If you're seeking some great Greek cuisine and would like quality at a reasonable price, with great customer service thrown in, then definitely check Ellenika out! See less

We dined last night (27/3/21) and were looked after by the wonderful Corina. She helped us navigate through the menu explaining dips and menu items and offering recommendations. Corina is friendly and professional. We tried the slow cooked goat, it did not disappoint, this dish is amazing, the goat just melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend Ellenika. Personally, one of the best restaurants in SA. See less

I held my bridal shower at Ellenika in a little dedicated function space and it turned out amazing beyond my expectations due to the fantastic assistance and service that Ellenika provided. The ambiance was spot on with a live band that added to that authentic atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating with helping with the food that would be served to the whole planning of the space and what we required. On the day the service from the staff was fantastic and food was simply delicious with many of my guests complimenting on how much they enjoyed the overall experience. I highly recommend for anyone looking at doing an intimate function or event. Personally I will be going back to try some more of the amazing food!! See less
