I gave my husband one request, and that was for a tasty, fragrant, delicious lamb curry. He popped into Essence of North India on his way home and presented me with containers of what looked like ordinary lamb curry. I was blown away by the abundance of flavour that was packed into these take away containers! It was absolutely delicious and scored my husband brownie points as I did not think he would find a restaurant that met the brief as well as Essence of North India did. It was tasty with tender meat, just the right amount of sauce and above all, tasted like I could eat it for days! Absolutely divine meal and I will definitely be back for more! Ordered takeaway... Had Indian style chilli chicken and kadahi chicken.... Both were pretty decent.... The chilli chicken was I reckon a bit too sweet.... See less

When you order, they will serve you microwaved stale food. We ordered 6 dishes and literally heard microwave beep six times. Just don’t go. I totally regret going there. Definitely NOT visiting ever. See less

This place is very formal good dining, if there's a queue (Very unlikely) there's a comfortable sofa with fruit and staff offer you mouth fresheners (supplied even with no crowd). They supply napkins to the very traditional food. Food is very great, better than other restaurants. On your way out they offer you the mouth freshener again. Good menu choices See less
