Delicious food and great service. Pros - BYO alcohol without excess charges and the food was really good. Ordered the share plate called Mosob which was $25 pp You also get free tea or coffee with this. Cons - not sure why the food took about an hour to arrive but was worth the wait. See less

For top quality authentic Ethiopian food, look no further than this modest joint in Pearce. They are out of the shopping centre but serve far better quality food with excellent customer service compared to all the restaurants at the town centre. The traditional mosob special we tried was yummy. If there is anything that can be improved on it's the injera - I prefer the thicker and darker version. Yours truly @fooderarri See less

Note: this is only based on takeaway.. The order was about 20 minutes later than advised (a little over an hour from ordering). The restaurant was very busy and clearly popular. Also offers BYO (only) which is a good way to have a good wine you like without paying exorbitant prices. Given the generally positive reviews and popularity, we will definitely give eating in a go to see if it is any better. We had Kay Wat (spicy beef) and Dubou Wat (spicy pumpkin). The meat was tough, either overcooked or poor cuts of meat or both. The texture of the pumpkin dish had little of interest or to recommend it and it was too sweet. On the plus side, the portions were reasonably sized and our order came with rice and Ethiopian pancake-style bread rather than having to pay extra - a pleasant surprise. See less

Delicious and wonderful service! It’s been a while since I’ve visited this little gem. But it’s worth the trip. The staff are very accommodating of requests (we had a big group ordering multiple things - vegan, GF etc), the food was delicious (plenty of injera to mop up all the delicious curries) and they even sang with us happy birthday to our 2 friends. It was a great night. See less

Just enjoyed the most delicious meal. We had the beef samosas to start which were choc full of meat and flavour. We had the Kitengya bread which I really enjoyed more than the injera bread. The chicken in coconut and beef Kay Wat are just yummy. Rice comes with the dishes, however if you are a big eater you may want a little more. Staff are lovely. Definitely look forward to going back. Amazing food and amazing service. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are super nice, and clearly passionate about providing good food and a good time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The vegan and vegetarian options are fantastic and just as delicious as the meat options so no one will miss out. See less

Really enjoyed the food: flavours I am not at all familiar with, but ones that I instantly loved! We ordered the shared plates with the soft slightly sour bread: excellent! See less

Great food (especially the coconut chicken), great service (waiter was superb) and very family friendly vibes. Definitely would come back to try more dishes. The wait for food was a bit long but I was happy to do it because it means everything was made fresh. Also no corkage! See less

Delicious food at an excellent price. Nice variety of dishes, good service, and not noisy. Didn’t have to wait too long for food to come either. If this place were closer to the city I would eat here everyday! See less

Recommended by a friend as one of his favourite restaurants, and after eating there ourselves last night I now see why he likes it so much. Very tasty food at incredibly good prices, and friendly staff, who make you feel very welcome. They seemed a little understaffed, but for a Sunday night and a small family run business, they still did a great job of making sure we had enough service to ensure a pleasant night out, and at these prices there’s nothing to complain about. Very glad we went and now very keen to go back and try some of the other meals that looked equally amazing. Give them a go, you won’t regret it. See less

Although the owners changed (which I find out later) the quality of the food and the service didn't. We were in 5 ppl, ordered a banquet, and there was not even a dish we didn't appreciate. The servings at the beginning might look a bit less than you would like but in the end you realise you won't be able to have it all. The bread is light and slightly sour, goes very well with the "curry-ish" dishes. BYO right besides a bottle shop, although that was the low point of the bargain, tbh... The number of wine options were disappointing... But surely we managed to find safe options not to compromise the experience, and surely the restaurant has no saying on that. 😉 Pleasant experience. We'll be back. And we'll bring the wine from home. See less

Tried Mosob special platter $25 per person Service was good. They brew their own drinks and serve home made ice cream. Family run business by Mr. Abraham. Tucked away from the Main Street it’s a little Ethiopian gem. Parking available outside. See less
