what has happened to this fish and chip shop once the best in town today I got 2 serves of threadfin one of which was all batter and hardly any fish an dry chips I will give them one more try and if I get the same result it will be goodbye from me I have amended my review because We have gone back and it has been great See less

Go here about 2 or 3 times a week to get chips, the small chips is more than enough for just me and they are really well priced and perfectly salted. There's 1 younger guy there and a lady who are both really friendly and nice, always asks how my day was and has a chat, but there's also an older guy who is just plain rude and racist and another guy with glasses who doesn't stop staring at me when I go in. Great place for a feed though. Would recommend See less

I ordered 1 stake burger with the lot with no onion and a hamburger with the lot no onion. The hamburger had onion and I ended up having a reaction to the onion and I was only lucky I had the medication to stop the reaction and the stake burger was a joke. It was soggy and falling apart. I will never go there again See less

I am vegetarian so I asked for a burger with the lot without meat. They said they couldn't do it. I said, why not, it's just leaving out ingredients, not adding anything they didn't have. They laughed and said they wouldn't do it, they said they'd refuse. So I left. See less

Ordered 2 Fisherman's baskets and received very little for the price paid. Three calamari rings for two people. Fish was dry and overcooked. The rest of the seafood was tasteless. Probably the worst fish and chips meal I've had in my life. Cannot justify the amount of money spent for the amount of food received. Cash only business during COVID. Only went here after reading positive reviews so this was disappointing. See less

For the last couple of times we've been there, their chips were pretty good, but fish was dry and very overcooked. The buns they used on their burgers were stale. Not to mention their rude and horrible customer service. A friend of mine wanted to get a burger with just egg and salad and they refused to do so (even though we were happy to pay the price of a fish burger). The people who served us for the last couple of times seemed very arrogant and rude. I will not recommend this place to any of my friends, Finigans' abnormal customer service is not worth your money.
