Enjoyed two breakfasts here. The wait was fine — I suggest an early visitation, avoiding the crowd is a must. Poached eggs were perfectly done, as were the pancakes. See less

I can honestly not rate this place enough. The customer service I received today was phenomenal. (A very) long story short, I didn’t have cash on me to pay for my bus ticket. Kayley, the lovely hostess at fishies at the point was so amazing in trying to help me find somewhere I could get some cardless cash out. She went out back to try and get some suggestions from coworkers (Connor and Cayderyn) who, upon hearing about my situation, gave me money from their own pockets. I genuinely could not thank these lovely people more if I tried. I found out I was able to get cash out at the local food works and was able to return their money along with a $10 tip but their generosity was astounding and definitely needs to be commended. So thank you again to the amazing team!!! I will definitely suggest this place to anyone I know coming to the island. See less

a bit expensive, and the food taste mediocre, l ordered a normal fish and chips and my friends got seafood stick. The sauce was very good though and it is the only food restaurant in a mile so we were pretty higry from walking. Overall abit expensive for normal fish and chips. See less

After receiving such poor service at Fins and Fries we decided to give this place a try! Thanks so much for you’re great service and great food! Yes, these are hard times for businesses which makes me thinks it’s now even more important than ever to give great service! Well done Fishes at the Point See less

Review is for coffee only. Made 2 attempts getting flat white from here hoping that the first time round was just bad luck. Unfortunately not - actually tossed the coffee because it tasted like watery milk See less

Our second time there and more disappointing than the first. It will be our last. Extremely overpriced ... $85 for 3 pieces of fish, 6 calamari and chips. it would have been cheaper to eat at the pub than to get take-away. Got NZ whiting (couldn’t offer local) and it was rubbery. Never returning. See less

I ordered 4 menu It was a too long time to take foods. It was more than 20 minutes. And the staff was good when she got the order but another staff was not kind when she served the food. She just left the foods on the edge of the table and didn’t tell the food's name. See less

Ordered the smashed avo with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Long wait time and then very disappointed for $19 only had tiny pieces of salmon and 3 small dollops of cream cheese on each toast. So much toast was plain without any toppings. Long wait and when I asked for something to wipe down the table since it was all wet from the rain only the table was wiped in a rush and not the wet chairs, no napkins at the front either to do it myself. Ended up sitting on wet chairs 😔 See less

It's understandable to be pricy on an island, but it's not acceptable to order bara and got flathead fish instead, especially I did ask the cashier what's the most popular fish. Never waste 1 dollar in this shop!!! See less

As for fish and chips, these guys have all the bases covered and the food is good (we ordered the family pack for 4 people at $100 - have a look at the pix). Generous serving of lemon wedges and tartar sauce and overall quality was positive. Seating location is not bad and you can also takeaway and enjoy your food with stunning clif-side view of the beach... Staff were friendly and I asked multiple times for a few extra things like sauces and plates to share food and responses were ok at peak businesses and there were no nonsense extra charges for ketchup or anything. Cutlery was wood so no plastic and things were MOSTLY served in paper/cardboard which was great. It would have been great if they had a recycling bin for all the paper (and the plastics) but they did have one for glass and cans. See less

This salad that came w my fish and chips was well tired! The cucumber was all soft and shriveled! Probs woulda been nice yesterday or something! Chips were good, but the whole menu is crazily over priced. Unfortunately, there's not much choice around here, so u get what ur given, really! See less

Fishes at the Point A bustling cafe, with a seafood focus, kept busy with the tourist trade on Stradbrook Island. Service is friendly, and food is tasty, with generous portions, and reasonable value for money. It ain’t real fancy, but it’s super popular all day long. Lots of free chilled bottled water in the fridge inside. We had a couple of chicken thigh burgers, a salt and pepper squid, some of which was a like on the chewy side, and a barra burger. No complaints from anyone. The fries are crispy coated - thanks! And they are delicious!! See less

Located just across the road from great sea side views. Food was pricey but delicious I had mackerel and it was fantastic the salad could use some fine tuning though. Take away meals are a lot cheaper. See less

Very busy today but service was fast and food maintained a high quality and consistency. Iced coffee was great, chips were perfectly cooked and crunchy. Calamari was melt in your mouth and the barra was ok. The staff had permanent smiles and one of them jumped in and offered to take a group photo for us See less
