Fortunately its the first time I've had to come to the hospital as my father was rushed to Emergency...although i didn't have much of an appetite, i couldn't resist the seafood paella, through it was hard to go past the peri peri chicken and the salt and pepper calamari..the staff are so lucky to have so many options. Had to put a review I bought breakfast during the 2-3 days of starting days of this cafe, first they charged me for a big meal whereas I just ordered a small hot breakfast and today, the chicken that I ordered was raw from inside. I didn’t complain in person as I had very less time remained of my break but I had to put review as it very dangerous as literally chicken was red from inside. Please be cautious and be aware of what you serve. See less

I have been a patient unfortunately in and out of Northern Beaches Hospital over the past 4 years... I don't normally bother with reviews, but how good is the Forest Kitchen Cafe under new ownership... previously there were so little option (nothing) i could only imagine what the poor hospital staff would eat... These new guys are incredible... the food, the service, the banter from the cafe staff, simply leave with a smile every single time. Steve the manager is AMAZING and the girl at the front counter definitely knows how to work the crowd (sorry i don't know her name) The hospital all off a sudden feels a better place to come to... This cafe is so terrible it’s not funny. I waited half an hour for the worst coffee I’ve ever had, the food is very overpriced, and the poor staff have no idea what is going on… I’d give it 0 stars if I could! See less

Skeleton staff everyday of the week. The kitchen shuts at 230pm on the weekend, so only pre prepared food is available. Over 40-50 minute wait times 95% of the time. -Over priced. -Needs more staff on. -Food needs to be available to actually be ordered on the weekend after lunch. -Over 40-50 minutes wait during day periods. It's impossible to get a coffee here in under 20 minutes, even with one person waiting, and 2 serving. See less

Paid $10 for a toasted croissant that was ice cold in the middle, staff were unwelcoming and rude, barista took over 15 minutes to make coffees for 5 separate people with no apology from manager who just stood there watching while she struggled.
