Absolutely appalled with the service tonight… the girl serving me was so annoying, I had to repeat myself at least 3 times before she finally heard what I wanted to order, she was extremely slow! Could hardly understand her, her voice sounds like a child. We hire children now? What is this. Food is great and the other servers are amazing, but this? At least tone your voice down mate, I’m deaf enough as it is! Other than that, best fish and chip place to go! See less

Extreme amount of salt on food, make sure you tell them light amount of salt, otherwise very fresh food UPDATE: Went in today and ordered 2 flake. still the best tasting fish and chips in Melton. They have also listened to feedback and cut down on the amount of salt. Upgrading from 3 to 5 See less

I've just found out about Frilled fresh and I've already ordered the same thing twice😍 food is amazingly delicious FRESH produce! (I can taste it in the fish which i had in a burger 😋 batter is perfect, even salted perfectly. I am a Kiwi we love our fish n chips, best I've ever had, highly recommend!!! Lived in melton my whole life why am i only finding this place now!? Food was amazing, best hsp ive had in town even better than the kebab joints! So big for the price i cant even finish it! Isnt greasy or soggy was just perfect, ill be back!! See less

Based on the HSP that cost me $18. You get a big box of chips with barely any meat on it and it's very chunky the bits you do get. Potential is there for a great hsp, but for the price, I just cannot justify spending $18 on one ever again. Its literally a minimum chips with a handful of chunky meat. Really disappointed. See less

I'd like to give this place zero stars but it won't allow me. The first time we went to Frilled Fresh we had to wait over 45 minutes for two burger meals; the food was average. The second time i went there alone to get a burger, all the lettuce pieces in the burger were brown. Unfortunately i still ate the burger and had instant diarrhoea in my car and i had to drive home fast to use the toilet. The exact same thing happened to my brother and his mates a week later when his mates insisted that they go there. This place shouldn't be allowed to be called frilled fresh since they use rotten vegetables and old meat. See less

Yesterday we had snack packs and a family pack, we could not finish the chips, very generous servings, the butterfish sizing is very big, value for money. my kids dont eat fish but when they tried the butterfish they loved it. snack pack to die for See less

Excellent - My wife and I bought the snapper and chips special ($7.50) plus a burger in batter ($3.50) - we thought the quality was great to the extent of making an effort to write this review. The fish was fresh and of a good size that we could share. The chips were surprisingly great and there were enough for us both. The burger in batter was a real surprise too, as there was a slice of potato next to the meat. Well done "Frilled" for a quick and tasty meal. We loved it and will be back. Hopefully the manager keeps this special going too? See less
