By far best fishing chips in Melbourne, my family including my twin brother and his family have been going there for a very long time and the food is cooked perfect, chips are made perfect. I have nothing but good thing s to say about them, it's run by family so you know it's going to be well looked after plus they are always welcoming and so easy to feel comfortable in there store. Have been attending this Fish and Chip shop for several years and very highly recommend it. The decor both out and inside is clean, refreshing and well presented. The young staff are polite, prompt and have a good knowledge of the various options available as well as forewarning of any delays. See less

Consistently crispy, delicious fish every time. Chips are also near-perfect, but could do with a little more salt. If you go for the occasional crab stick, theirs have a nice flavour, not pasty or floury. Burgers are also very nice too. They even make the dreaded Mars Bar in batter (quite good) to kill your ateries. Best call ahead as they get extremely busy on weekends. And service is great from all staff. Ordered fish and chips from Gills and Grills for the first time tonight and absolutely loved it. Chips were well done, crisp, fresh and not at all oily. Flake fish was perfect with yummy crunchy batter and the potato cakes were as they should be, thin and crispy. So happy, thank you!! See less
