Our favourite for Japanese lunch, always order Goemon Spicy Leek roll and Goemon Roll. The Goemon roll has layers of surprise, some crunchiness, avocado, salmon. Absolutely heaven. See less

Best Japanese meal I've had in many years. Lovely civilized ambiance and lots of specials you won't find elsewhere. Their dory tempura was superb, brilliant tuna sashimi and the tea was perfect. Can't wait to come back! See less

Horrible experience. Expensive, but not authentic. Fake smile chef and lady staff. Never visit again and not recommend at all. I went to a couple weeks ago with my girl friend and I found out that the chef and lady wearing glasses talk behind customers back in their own language which is Japanese. I look like a western guy, but actually am able to speak Japanese so I could understand what they talked about (I was sitting the seat which is nearby them). However, it seemed they didn’t expect that. Also, I have visited this cafe? (actually a Japanese restaurant) many times, and this time I realized that some waiting staffs have been changed many times which is in short term. So, when I visit, there is a new staff every each time and they speak poor English and don’t know about menu well. It’s just guessing though, an owner in this restaurant hasn’t trained properly. That’s why some staff seemed struggling with taking order, explaining the menu or other things. He or she has to teach how to work there properly otherwise is gonna lose their customers like me. I went to goemon few weeks ago and I was very disappointed. We had to wait for ages to get our foods. Waiter didn’t know about the menu. We asked about the dishes but we couldn’t get any answers. When we went there for the first time I think it was last September, There were great waiter and waitress. It seemed like they are not working there any more. About the food, we ordered steamed pork dumpling. Dumpling skin was very dry and hard. I think they put them into microwave to heat it up. If they steam dumpling, dumpling skin never get dry. I have been to hundreds of sushi bars both here in Australia and Italy and I have to say I was not impressed by Goemon. Sushi rolls, Nigiri and tempura were on average with other places. See less

Love this place. The food is beautiful yet good value. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. It's not a flash restaurant but there are reasons why this place is always busy, especially on the weekends. See less
