We were looking for somewhere to eat for the night after having a couple of bad experiences and remembered the old faithful Golden Leaf Chinese Restaurant after driving past the Springvale one. The food’s good quality with plenty of variety and fresh live cray, barra and crab to choose from if that takes your fancy, a good variety of drinks, it’s open till late. The service is professional and courteous, there’s not really anything to dislike about it, I’m going to have to keep it in what’s left of my memory bank. I’d happily recommend it. See less

Great food . I've enjoyed the prawn dumpling in particular dipped in a super chilly sauce. I just wished the walls were made sound proof though. Too much noise and it was like, you could hear the other customers talking altogether right next to your ear. See less

If your looking for good Chinese food this place is not the place to go. Average Chinese food with no variety, no chicken options besides chicken feet 🤢, for chicken options. Just prawn and pork. Sorry but do not recommend at all. Go to any other Chinese restaurant and you will get better. See less

We had our Christmas lunch at Gold Leaf restaurant Springvale. I was impressed by the quality of food I received as part of our 'Banquet A' order. Our server (possibly one of the floor managers out there) Alex was fantastic. He and his team tried their best to satisfy our various demands. Just have one constructive criticism. I guess it would be better to have a bit more variety for both vegetarian and vegan patrons. See less

Everything is nice except for the white bait - it was always fresh and crunchy but this time it’s like they’ve just warmed it up and tastes like it’s soaked in oil. Rest is (dumplings) fresh. Good service and staff are friendly. See less

Interesting experience! They walk around pushing trolleys of food and ask you what you would like. Dumplings are good, although dishes with poultry are boney as hell. I would still recommend going, just order dumplings, and or meat / vego dishes, avoid poultry dishes. It is a bit of a money machine place, I’m sure you could find nicer smaller places around. Place has been around for a while now. Pretty big with plenty of seating, making up a quarter of the second level above KFL. Staff were nice, they even gave us a second plate of pawn crackers when we finished our first - goodbye even need to ask! Food was tasty and had no complaint there. See less
