Went with my friends for the first time to dine in. The place was a little quiet during lunch time which was perfect as we were given a big round table with a lazy susan. The food we tried were great especially the fried prawns dish which my friend insisted we should order - turns out to be super yum and not heavily battered. The owner came out to have a chat and making us feel welcome. We'll most definitely come back again and will have their famous fried ice-cream!! See less

If you want great tasting large portion meals Golden King is your go too restaraunt for Chinese in Canberra the generous portions and quality of product in each meal is awesome and delicious. We discovered them on Menulog and havent ordered from anywhere else since. Their Omellettes are out of this world. See less

A friend and I had dinner here tonight. We ordered two main dishes and fried rice..The main dishes were barely warm when they were served as if they had been left sitting out for a while. We informed the waitress that the dishes weren't hot enough.. No apology from anyone. Avoid this restaurant and go to another Chinese restaurant in Phillip or Woden.. A waste of money for cold food.. The food is tasty, sometimes a bit oily but great overall. They could work on their delivery timing though. I mostly order take aways and I almost always end up waiting for 20-30 minutes. See less

My favourite take away place. I always call in advance to be sure I don't wait that long. Their chicken wings are my favourite and their spring rolls are really good. I prefer this over the other Asian restaurants near the area as the servings are heaps more and it's quite affordable. Try their lunch specials and you'll get your money's worth. See less

Would recommend this place for all families. On a week away we found this fantastic restaurant. A family run place that is welcoming to all even on a Wednesday night. We ate in and were amazed and the generous servings. We ordered for 2 and had enough for 4! See less
