Good outdoor seating with sufficient shade on a hot morning. Not bad for kids who can run around in a fairly protected space in the square. Baked goods aren't freshly made but as expected for a coffee chain. See less

The restaurant staff are very silent and unfriendly. They just keep the delivery drivers waiting for like 30 to 45 minutes for a single order. They are under staffed and it impacts for the customer and the online orders. See less

Best coffee shop in Canberra. Iv been a coffee drinker since my teen years. Coffee guru Mawson are the best. Coffee is consistently excellent. Iv been coming here for years and since the new owners took over it has Always been a pleasant friendly experience. All the staff are very friendly.coffee is that good that we often come back twice a day :) highly recommend them. See less

Dropped in for a quick coffee and stayed for hours. The staff treat you as a friend, the coffee is pure Italy. Before we knew it we were eating healthy hearty food. The reasonable prices don't reflect the excellent quality of the food. See less

Consistently great food and coffee. Staff are polite and friendly. The only reason I shop at Southlands Mawson is to have a break at Guru. It's can be a busy little hub, but that usually is a good sign for a cafe. It's nice to sit outside under an umbrella when the weather is good. Love that they have lactose free milk and gluten free options too! See less

Awesome low key breakfast spot. Super relaxed atmosphere and staff are always wonderful. One of the last REAL big breakfasts in Canberra! My last coffee was burnt- wouldn't stop me going here, but probably needs to be addressed with barista. Regardless, 5 stars for the overall atmosphere, quality food and great service. See less

We had a wonderful brunch experience today at Mawson Coffee Guru! As soon as we entered, team member Jye greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. Jye also helped us to select our meals - it was clear that nothing was too much trouble! Our food choices were scrumptious and beautifully arranged. In particular, we noticed how flavoursome the tomatoes and the bacon were, and that the coffee was excellent. In all we were delighted with the food and service. We will be back!! See less

This is our regular breakky spot. Always good coffee. Always good food. And staff are always friendly. The menu is broad to cover all tastes and dietary requirements. Gluten free toast is a good one too. See less

I had really prompt service and the shop itself was quite tidy and clean. Coffee was a little burnt but. Not awful I stress, just not a fabulous brew. There was a lovely selection of cakes and baked goods but I did not try any of these today. See less
