A gentleman claiming to be the owner was very hostile. He insisted our use of the word 'order' was offensive and stated we should use the word 'request' instead, condescendingly stated we did not need to wear masks while seated inside despite this being non-compliant with latest Vic restrictions and proceeded to show us the door. The whole episode seemed very petty. Very disappointing given our previous good experience with the other staff. This gentleman was toxic See less

We had a family lunch at Hanoi Mee today. We asked the chef Ennis to select a banquet and it was absolutely amazing . By far the best Vietnamese food we have tasted. Also a really cozy relaxed ambient restaurant with incredible cocktails. Thanks Gabrielle See less

I would give 6 Stars if I could 🌟 Since I moved to the 'hood about 6 months ago, I've probably eaten here and had take out at least 10 times - Consistently AMAZING and fresh and delicious each and every time and reasonably priced. EXCELLENT HOME DELIVERY OPTION Hanoi Mee is (mostly) Vietnamese cuisined restauarnt in Port Melbourne that offers a good range of high quality dishes. This review is of their home delivery (via UberEats). *menu range*: very good and has decent vegetarian options within the menu. *price*: reasonable *delivery and packaging*: packed very well, no leakage and food still appropriate temperature on arrival. Relatively fast. *food quality*: very good We ordered calimari crab rolls (nice texture, crepe skin and not oily), pork belly (good flavour but a little tough), prawn dumpling noodle soup (generous serve, good flavour), vietnamese beef gnocci (a bit of a fusion dish but actually works well!), wok tossed greens (Ok but lacking a bit in flavour). Have heard review on the 3AW and thought to try myself. We went with family for a dinner. We really enjoyed our meals. We started with some small things such as soft shell crab, spring rolls, corns with (I think) tuna... Mains - short ribs, chicken, beef, salad .... everything has a lot of flavours. I thinks I would like to have a bit more spicier , but everyone else like it as it was. The biggest problem for me was the noise. We had to put a bit of afford to get discussion going. Repetitive music on the background was driving me crazy. I do understand that this is a part of the vibe that they try to have, but this is not for me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but if I will decide to go there next time I would be looking for a table outside. See less
