Having good customer service is their only saving grace earning them the three stars. Otherwise, food wise, it would be a no for me. On the pricier side for Malaysian food yet serving was of a smaller portion compared to other Malaysian eateries. It looked like the team didn't know what condiments to put on the dishes too as I watched the wait staff look at the list of ingredients needed per dish. It also took a lot longer than expected to get the meals even though they only had 1 other table to serve. I had the vegetarian laksa which was very, very bland. The laksa was the right texture, but it was so bland that I can't emphasize this enough. Egg noodles, 3 very small pieces of fried eggplant, half an egg, a handful of bean sprouts and some mint came up to $16 which astounds me. My daughter had the beef bowl which was rice, beef and what looked like chilli sauce but it turned out to be non spicy, sweet and coconutty. My husband ordered the nasi lemak with beef rendang. The fried egg, fried anchovies and fried peanuts saved the dish. Otherwise the rice came with the same sauce and beef that my daughter had. The sauce that I assume should be sambal was just sweet chilli sauce, I would hardly call it sambal. The beef rendang was the kid version with no spice chilli kick and was bland too. Honestly, the worse laksa and nasi lemak I have had in NZ. Looking at the reviews, a lot have mentioned the food being bland. Perhaps it is time to review your recipes and portions in light of feedback given? Thanks. See less
