Used to be great but over the last month or so we have had some issues. The shop opening late on Fridays but still taking online orders, not having any chips and having to wait for them to arrive in the van. We are told 15 minutes but ends up being 30 mins. Last night no reply on the phone at 5.30, stock online saying sold out. Seems there is no organisation or anyone managing the shop. It’s a real shame as the food is amazing. The food is OK. However they are happy to take your money, call you back saying they don't have any drivers and then not refund your order or reply when trying to contact them chasing up the refund. See less

After putting my order through this evening they decided to close up shop before 8pm and call me up for a refund after the order was processed. Pretty slack for my mind when 9pm is the stated close time online. Seems to be a common occurrence for this store. Very disappointing/unreliable and have experienced poor customer service previously. Love supporting local business but not sure if I'll go back... See less

This is not your standard fish and chips - it's a little something special. There is pride in the hand cut chips, sprinkled with herbs and quality salt flakes. The batter on the fish and potato cakes is consistently crisp and golden. Grilled fish is ace too! It's the little things like lemon and tartare with your order that shows the thoughtfulness. It's hard to fault this place - service is always swift and with a smile. Oh and they do good burgers to boot! See less

what an absolute joke of a business this is! tried ordering online through menulog than tried calling the business but apparently no one is working tonight even though everywhere you look states that they are open. after my last order from them was less than average i decided to give a second chance however after this NO MORE! We've had the 24 combo box (2 fish + 6 calamari + 2 potato cake + hand cut chips and tartar sauce & lemon). It was ready very quickly. Service was great, staff was happy and welcoming, which is always nice. The food was really good. We all loved the chips and the fish was also excellent. I can't comment about the calamari because my toddler ate them all. He did say he actually liked them. So here you go ;D We will be back. See less

Fish is good but everything else is pretty drab. Vernon st fish and chips down the road is so much better- their potato cakes and chips and golden like fried food should be, instead of drab soggy grey colour. See less

I love this fish and chip shop!! Well worth supporting this local business because their food (especially their chips) is fresh and delicious. I recommend the grilled fish combo with chips and salad. Potato cakes are fresh and crispy, love that they have dessert options of gluten free, dairy free and vegan, would Recommend the Chocolate mousse. See less

The legend who started the original fish n chip shop "Dough" (before he sold it to new Management) is now BACK! I've been back a couple of times since they opened and most of the original crew have returned. Good to see the quality is back to where it was originally - fish was fresh and cooked just the way I like it! The calamari was tender, the chips are still hand cut, and the potato cakes were thick and crunchy. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! See less
