Find somewhere else ! the table chairs and floor were sticky and not clean, the menu and table numbers were the same, the staff good and pleasant . The publican need to have a hard look at the premises and the cleanliness. could be a lot better See less

Terrible food, 2 adults and 5 kids, everyone’s meals came out luke warm, the popcorn chicken was burnt and fatty, and I had the lamb souva which was cold and full of congealed fat, so disgusting. I usually eat anything as love my food but just could not eat it 😩 A very expensive mistake 😔 See less

The beer was good, pizza was a little of a letdown (meat lovers with only prosciutto??). Ambiance is very good and they had a pub quiz night on the Monday I visited. See less

Quiet Sunday afternoon lunch, premises is quite nice. Had the Caprese salad and added lamb with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Enjoyed lunch and service was pretty good. Would go again See less

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with bar staff. Constantly from all of them I was met with rudeness. Countless examples of not even listening to what was being ordered and just making whatever they felt like. The peak of it was when I was trying to get water from the bar as a friend of mine wasn’t well, I had the bartender shout at me to “get the f out of the way”. This was because I was apparently blocking the exit from the floor to the bar and a staff member behind me couldn’t get through. Funny enough she wasn’t even trying to get to the bar. Your time and money is much better spent anywhere else. See less

Too loud to hear anything. Overpriced drinks. Sorry, but I've been into better places... feel sorry for the security, they need earplugs in their posts. Vm the bar service. Least the bartender recognised me for my repeat order. (Hence 3 star) See less

The food was ok however the service was really poor had to follow up a few times for my a veg burger agreed we needed a few ingredients removed. It was not a great experience. The people who served us at the bar were really grumpy and looks like they did not want to be there. See less

Cheerful, relaxed beers and pizzas. Loved their dark ale on tap while a colleague could not go past the Bentspoke Crankshaft (in cans). Food and service could not be faulted. See less

While visiting War Memorial, we are looking for a nice and cheap food nearby. We found this place, Hopscotch (on Lonsdale Street) They offered the meal deal for $5 pizza (but U have plus a extra drink with this deal) and $10 chicken schnitzel. The food is great and fresh. Pizza paste is thin, tasty. The chicken schnitzel is beautiful and lovely, it's real one, not like factory ones. The paper corn sauce is good. The chip is very crispy. I think it's very good quality and good value, not like those terrible cheap food with no tasty. I give it 4 out of 5 base on quality and value (CP). Suggestion: The waiter should greetings when the customer walking into and tell the customers the special deal before they ask. See less

Hopscotch has to be one the most talked about pubs of Canberra. A must go to I was told by locals. Unfortunately I didn't see for myself what all the hype about this place was. It did has a good atmosphere but staff where not very helpful. The food we ordered was of good quality but fairly overpriced for pub food. I did like that there was games available for guest to play while enjoying a drink or two :) See less
